Sunday 5/18 deep creek/dishpan

Anyone up for a run this Sunday? I was thinking deep creek to dishpan. I'm really up for anything, as long as there's rocks. Any takers???

Should be interesting. Was up there Wed with the bike. It's really tore up on everything on the waterfall side with a new boulder right in the way at the top. Weird thing is the bypass by the tree has been opened up. BBFF should be interesting for the stockers who don't take the bypass. Was hoping to watch a stock Rubicon I ran into up there who was bragging about how easy the waterfall would be. He didn't do it, turned around to go to Devils Hole, as I laughed. Have fun, I'd be in, but already have plans.

Haha, that's hilarious. Wish you could've joined. I've always heard of devils hole, but never found out where it was. If you've been there, is it hard to find?

I'm in. I just like the idea of passing by deep creek because its a cool place to break for lunch and cool off. Other than that, I'm open to anything

Yeah can't miss it. When you catch 3n34 from cedar glen (deep creek side), it breaks off to the left at the beginning. I think its 3n34d. It's really not a big deal, unless you have a stock rig or just looking for a cool kickback spot.

Yeah, I did Devil's Hole a few years ago for BBFF not knowing how short it is. It's basically a cule de sac with no real obstacles. More of a place to hang out, not really much wheeling. Some people fish there. Really nice scenery. Good place to take a date.

Luckily when we finished it at BBFF, the trail guide took a small group of us up Dishpan which saved the day for me.

What's the Deep Creek area like? Decent wheeling? I'm looking for a short run to take my son on for Sunday. I was thinking of just doing a quick Cleghorn run.

I'm doing 2n17x, Dishpan, Holcomb next week with the 'tour de big bear' run with Zombiehunter so don't really want to do it 2 weeks in a row.

Deep creek isn't really that crazy of a trail but its fun. I've heard devils hole is a good place for a swim, is that true? That's the main reason I want to check it out.

Dishpan to Holcomb west to east is such a sweet run Rick. Definately not runs Id pass on two weekends In a row, haha. Also there's a nice little section near the end of Holcomb Creek. 2n06x a cool little black diamond trail, that keeps you off the main routes and in the fun. I finish up the last section of HC, turn around and take 2n06x to 3n16 back to crab flats to get back to west end instead of coming out on the east side in big bear and down 38.

Now if you're a dirtbike guy, I can turn ya onto some awesome singletrack..... But that's a different group, haha.

I'll probably be in. Would like to stop by Devil's Hole too, I'm sure my son would think it's neat.

Not sure if I would continue to Dishpan, just depends on time. Let me know where you guys want to meet up.

Great run today guys! Devil's Hole was pretty cool. Luke definitely wants to go back with his swim trunks and now my wife wants to check it out too.

Hope you guys had a good time on Dishpan!

Hey Steve! I was able to make it on the third try or so locked front and rear. Front goes up no problem, but get hung up in the rear on the jku. I was able to get over it by giving it a bump rear wheels hit. Spun the tires a bit, but made it up.

Definitely dug out up there, but I figure worst that could happen is I'd use my winch ha ha. Doing it again next week. I'll just make sure someone goes in front of me in case I need a winch at that spot.
