If we end up doing calico, I am hoping to be locked by then...that gatekeeper looks like a hell of a time

And I'm assuming there are easier routes to bypass? I might have my lift by then but don't plan on lockers. The more I read every mod requires more mods like beefier drive shafts to handle lockers for example...

Yes. My understanding is that the gatekeeper is optional for the trail

YOu did John Bull. You don't need lockers. You need to have some sort of handicap besides being in a TJ. We all know that leaf springs are best.

Looks like most people are voting Calico... So unless there is a big rush of people wanting to do Cougar Buttes, I will go ahead and make Calico the official spot.

Oh come on now Jeff...we all know that you skipped out on JB cuz those leaf springs just aren't capable...and the newbie run is where they belonged

You are right though, who needs lockers?

You are right. Leaf springs and 31" tires. Unlike you rolling on Hummer spinners and 28" remz!!!

Cat's out of the bag, Jeff. Stop stringing Dave along and tell him how you REALLY feel about him.

If u put them on. Most YJ guys ditch the sway bars and most of time the track bars as well.

Ya the leafs help keep the axle centered so most of that other stuff just gets taken off, but it also comes down to personal preference and how it feels.

I have no sway or track bars at all. Jeep still handles great on the highway and better than any TJ on the trails...

Alright, I have been lagging on updates on this thread. I have the feeling that most people are wanting to do Calico, so as of now, that is the destination. As for the date, it looks like March has a total of 5 full weekends. How does the weekend of Friday the 23rd through Sunday the 25th sound? If that does not work, the weekend before also works out as well. So, feedback everyone. Let me know what you wish to do.

Jeff

That's a ways off so any of those are probably going to be ok though my job sometimes makes me work the first Saturday of the month. So I guess I can say I'm probably ok for any weekend except for the first weekend of the month.

3/23-3/25 works better for me, but I could most likely make arrangements to make the prior week work for me too.

Any one of those weekends works for me too. The first weekend of the month is the TDS Safari so it shouldn't be that weekend anyway.

March 23rd through March 25th works well for me Jeff, that's a nice time of year to wheel Calico.
