What a fantastic time!
Many thanks to the great spotters in Advanced Team 2, they made the challenges so much safer. And so much more fun.
Did a quick peek at the GoPro video I took, and it looks pretty awesome. Gonna work on editing it from the 3 hours and 40 minutes of video down to something more reasonable.

Can't wait for the next one!

I had a great time yesterday! Thanks to Jeff for hosting. Thanks to Jeff and Yomondo for leading the beginner run!

It was a nice tame, scenic run and didn't scare my wife too much. I wanted to run with the advanced group, but as my wife probably told me 100 times yesterday, NEXT TIME, NEXT TIME, NEXT TIME!!! It was her first trail run though, and she only screamed in terror once.

As JPI mentioned, we need to go back before it gets too hot and run the advanced trail. From what I heard, it was a great run.

Also thanks to all that helped me get my rear hard top off for the first time! I don't remember every ones names, but definitely appreciated! Too bad they didn't split the rear top in half so one person could take it off without assistance. That will be one of my next 'mods' is to build a hoist in the garage so I can leave it at home.

Just got home and unpacked the taj mahal. Now I gotta take a shower and relax for a bit. I can't wait to take a look at the video I got on the gopro...I will make sure to make an edit for everyone to check out.

Thanks again to Jeff for hosting another great trip. Lots of new faces, but also a lot of familiar ones. These are always a good time and I never leave disappointed. I hope to be on the trail with u all again soon.

I had a great time with everyone this weekend. Thank-you to everyone who had a part in it. I was very impressed with everyone's team work out on the trail. This was my first run ever and I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to run it with. I am already looking forward to the next event with everyone. My dad and I had the times of our lives and we are officially hooked on Jeeping. We are all looking forward to seeing some of the amazing pictures and videos that were taken. Thanks again guys.

P.S I had to take a picture of that Prius that was on the way to the gatekeeper :P

Just got in a bit ago and for some reason I feel a bit exhausted.... Don't know if it were the cold beverages at night, or the fun in the sun during the day. Either way, I had a blast and think my minor cosmetic blemish on my rear corner was the biggest carnage of the weekend. So, I am in need of some corner crusher guards to make the YJ all pretty again and also need a new tailgate that got bent inward when I backed up on a waterfall.

The entire trip was a blast with great weather, great people and tons of Jeeps. Thank you everyone involved in coming out and spending time with us. I also want to give an extra special thanks to the advanced trail leaders on Saturday, Jerry Bransford and Pluke the 2. Thank you Armand for being such a great bartender and making sure no one went thirsty. I would also like to thank my new friend that made the trip all the way from AZ to hang out and play in the hills with us, Sugar Buns or Chris or Desert Goose, which ever name you are going by at the moment. I think you earned the long distance award.

Jeff

Pics to be up soon. My phone is dead and I cannot find the charger... grrr. Sandi took a ton and will be uploading them after she rests.

By chance, did anyone get video of me on the waterfall that I got tugged on? Would love to see how that looked from the outside. Thanks.

Jeff

Just wanna thank EVERYONE for the epic weekend, it was a pleasure to meet you all! Many great memories and can't say enough about how much fun we had.

The Arizonans are all home safe and in one piece. One thing I didn't sign up for was the 50mph crosswinds for 4+ hours of the drive home, but definitely worth it. Or the gas prices... :-(

Hopefully I can make it back in the near future after finances recover... or try to drag you all out this way. I'll post back here when I start a photobucket account but a few of you might see me post a lot on Facebook.

What a blast this weekend was!!!

Thanks to everyone for being so cool and fun to wheel with and thanks to Geoff for all the hard work you put into making this another successfull and FUN event!!! Armond, you sure know how to be the perfect host and your generosity with the expensive hootch you were pouring is really appreciated. Well, I was appreciating it Friday night but not so much Saturday morning.

So all in all, a great trip with no carnage or serious trail damage... nothing that doesn't give a nice reminder of that weekend in Calico.

Can't wait for Big Bear!
