When we are out camping with dirt bikes we always make the journey over there for a stopping point. That place gets packed on large weekends with all sorts of off road types.

Calico is a blast but Anza would be new for me! I don't think we'll find any bears at either spot

I will keep the poll open till the end of October, then which ever trail is popular vote at that point will be the destination. This will give us time to make reservations, or schedule what ever needs to be done.

As for the dates of the Meet n Greet how does the 22-24th of March sound?

Jeff

I haven't been to any of these locations yet, so they all sound great! However, I would prefer Johnson Valley or Calico over the other two since they require less gas for us to get to... I wonder if gas prices will finally go down some by March?

Probably not.

Just put the date in the calendar. Maybe by that time I will be good enough to try to drive up to what my jeep can do. LOL I am such a beginner.

I welcome all people. All I ask is that they maybe use your computer to post up a quick introduction for the other members to see and also allows me to keep an accurate head count.

I'm going to put the dates down and will have to check with the hubby.

I don't think I should vote on locations since I have never been to any of them except Last Chance Canyon. I'm up for anything as long as there are some mild runs for us newbies

I'm in

Just went on a Nightmare and Last Chance run this past weekend and I agree there is a great mix of terrain for all skill levels, BUT Nightmare closes Feb 1st for six months.

JV is my second

To the best of my recollection, the trails the group will be taking out in Anza Borrego won't give you any problems with 31" tires.

I'll have to look that up, anything with a name like that makes me a bit nervous. I will have to be able to drive the Jeep those 6 hours back home

That makes it sound pretty tame, are there challenging areas?

Not so much in this area but if you venture over to Ocotillo which is around 30 minutes away there is a lot more to do there. None of the area is like the trails up at Big Bear as far as those types of challenges as far as I know. It is a scenic place to cruise around and a lot of area to do it in. I always enjoy Borrego.
