Great day scouting trails with Jeff & Joe, I think the mod run will be great. Joe showed us the alternate route into Wall St and I think we voted to leave the downhill run of Bismarck off the run as its a bit much for a moderate run. Great weather & great trails!

Definitely a good day. Agree with passing on Doran for the moderate run ... I think Tracey got some pics of me on two wheels.

If I'm not stuck out in the field and have the weekend off, I'm down. My stockish suspension should be plenty flexy, and I be rocking the stock rubi wheels and tires. But if chuck is spotting I have faith (and valve stems) I'll make it through fine. So, I'm a maybe till it gets closer towards the event.

Yeah same here, started down wall street and had to change out a tire because I tore a valve stem off due to some bad spotting. Did the douran loop clockwise. Had a blast and realized I need some more belly clearance bad. I should be good to go with the Mods I've done so far.

You are set up better than me ... height won't be an issue for you ... I ran Odessa before with a couple TJs on 31s and they had no issue ...

It is during a rotation unfortunately... TD07-TD09. I'm gonna work a crack deal at work to make sure I have that Saturday off though.

Yeah if its during rotation, I probably won't be able to go. Doesn't matter how much I beg I doubt I'll be able to make it. I know It would be fun, I love climbing the falls out there.

Would like to try and make this, but need to get a few things, like tires for starters. If I do make it, I would do trail #2. Yes, I'm very new to this.

What kind of tires do you have now? Basic all terrains will be enough for Trail #2.

BTW... Welcome to the Sport. Hope you do make it out for the meet and greet ... You'll be hooked by the end of the weekend.

I have a '13 JKU sport with the Goodyear wrangler SRA tires. It's got the 3.21 and auto trans. It's completely stock. Did go out with a nice group today of 17 rigs on Cleghorn Rd.

Looks like a good plan.

Also, please add H2_recoveryteam to Trail #3 per his post right here. Thanks.

Question on sharing campsites: I have site 15 for our 32ft. MH. Is there room on these sites and is it allowed, to put a tent up? I was going to share my site with Gonzo family if this is doable. I looked on the website and couldn't find any info. Thanks to anyone that can help.

The SR-As are 32s and will be enough for what we are going to be doing on the moderate trail. I wouldn't worry too much about being stock ... there are a couple rocky spots we will hit but your Jeep is more than capable of handling it! I hope you're able to make it out ...

It says max 1 vehicle and max 1 tent for those sites, so it sounds like it's allowed. Some of the sites look like they'd have enough width for a tent next to a MH, but I don't know if O15 is one of them. Maybe you can sweet talk one of the folks going on Lori's 3/8 run to scope it out for you. If not, you do also have 8' behind your 32' MH in your 40' site.

Thank you, I did figure there's enough room behind if not next to the MH. I have a feeling there will be so many of us that the rangers won't be giving us a problem for having a tent on the site.

I can tell them my husband snores and has to sleep outside

Kenny, this stuff happens dude. People scrape their tires/wheels on the rocks all the time on many trails, and those metal Rubi TMPS valve stems are notorious for getting broken on the trail because they have no give. One little scrape on a rock and they're done. I've seen it happen a bunch of times, no fault to the driver or spotter. I did mention that rock rash on the wheels was likely on that run, so it just took one of those valve stems being right where the rock rash is happening for it to break. That was a tight squeeze there, and everybody was scraping their tire/wheel on that particular rock. You should swap out all your metal valve stems for rubber ones if you want to prevent that from happening again. My rubber valve stems have taken several scrapes without breaking.
