Looks like iwaxmyjimmy still needs to be added to the list for trail #3, and that caps the list for trail #3.

Maybe send them a PM and say that if they don't sign up for a run, they will be on their own. Set a deadline.

I do think we should cap trail 1. However, that's up to Dan since he is leading it.
Hi Rick, I wanted to cap the run at 10 jeeps, but changed it to 15 when I saw how many jeepers we had at this event. As much as I hate to cap a run, I think it is necessary. My goal for this run is to keep things moving. We will be covering a lot of trails on this run, so we need to keep the group moving if we are going to get back at a reasonable time.

Before anyone freaks out, notice Geoff's (Cons_Table) wink. The moderate level trail is only moderately challenging... just enough to make it fun.

P.S. I noticed while looking at the Moderate run map that it looks like it ends up in the middle of the desert with no route back. Looks like you guys on the Moderate trail ain't coming back!

Ya, just pullin your guy's legs Pretty sure 530ktm was just referring to the amount of people on the run.

I can't blame them for not coming back...the group that will be back at camp can get pretty rowdy

Oh great, since I can't find my way out of a paper bag this ought to be interesting

I guess it's a good thing I've got a bright orange Jeep, easier for the rescue rangers to find me as they fly over

You are 1 shy of the 15. Do you want to cap the run here or hold out for the additional 1? I will cap it if you want me to. I know a tough trail can be a long day with a few rigs, with many it can be a bit over bearing.

Usually the runs I host are pretty tame. I prefer newbies and stockers to see the reactions on their faces when they see what a Jeep can do.

I can't blame them for not coming back...the group that will be back at camp can get pretty rowdy

That is the "Bunny Slope". Just point the wheels forward and close your eyes. It will be over before you know it.

With the number of members not choosing a run yet, things may get a bit confusing for any last minute guys wanting to just hop on a group as stated above. I am not that familar with the Calico area and if an additional run is needed to keep group size managable, does anyone have suggestions that will not interfer or clog up the trails we are already choosing? I don't mind taking a mile long train on the moderate run, but I also don't want people wanting a challenge for their modded Jeeps to be left without something a bit more hardcore. So, again I ask the wonderful members of WF for assistance on this event that is growing to astronomical proportions from the original of 8 Jeeps in Anza Borrego, haha.

Even with three different runs going on in different parts of Calico, we are bound to run into each other with 50-70 Jeeps. The only choke point we will all be hitting as is will be between Bismarck and Wall Street Canyon, which could get really tight if we all show up at once.

Not many other trails out there in Calico that we aren't already on, so the only other option I can think of is another Advanced group may need to be created as a contingency, with a staggered start time of an hour before or after the already set groups.

If you think it's best another intermediate/beginners group can be created as well, depending on how much more the current one grows. The last I looked it was at 20, which is manageable for our route. There are tons of places I can take a beginners group, so that isn't a problem. It's the ones who want to be on the Advanced trails. Might have to default them to Steve's group!

DIRTTY DONS 4X4 LJ wants to be on Trail #1 with Bill and Coop. (That's MNTNGoat, right?). That'd put it at 15.

OK, I have updated the first thread with what I hope is current info. I have taken the confirmed cancells out of the list so that should free up some confusion. I am still waiting to hear back from a few members that I have PM'ed about choosing a site and hope to have more info soon.

Hey Jeff, We've got one more Jeep to add to the list. Dave (DavidO) and his wife Vanessa. They will be staying at the Oak Tree Inn and doing run #1 with us.

See you soon, Grant
