Where is the spot at? I know how long it takes me to get to San Diego. Where is it from there?
To Anza Borrego from San Diego: You would need to go East for about an hour and 30 mins.

To Johnson Valley: It is off the 15 freeway on Bear Mtn RD (I think) and you follow that all the way back until you get to where they hold the King of the Hammers.
https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=B...mra=ls&t=m&z=7

Calico: Also off the 15 but further towards Vegas (from Socal) and is off of Yermo RD.

Last chance Canyon: I dont know the map below is a guess.

Assuming he's going by the poll: If this was anything like the election, the other trails would have conceded to Anza Borrego by now.

We might get some of the Arizona people if we do the one down near the border. I know Chris Gase was thinking about it, just food for thought. :-)

I'll invite some guys from my club also once the date and site are set in stone. When we drove to San Diego this summer I remember wanting to take an offroad detour in the Anza Borrego area.

Always a time to wheel somewhere, Jerry. Start a thread for one of your favorite haunts.

Just bringing this thread back up on the page. I am keeping the poll open till the end of December. Currently, Anza Borrego is in the lead.

OK gang. I have been asked by a couple of members if I can restart the poll at zero since it was started at such an early date and a lot of people have upgraded their Jeeps or changed their minds. I have contacted a moderator that should be able to reset the poll for us and we can start re-voting. I hope everyone wanting to attend reads and responds to this. So once the poll is re-set at zero, the destination will be set in stone... or rock or what ever hahaha.

As a side note, I would like everyone to re-read the first post about the rules as they will be inforced on all runs by the trail leaders. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your votes.

Jeff

It says I already voted but it's at zero. As far as where I really don't care anymore. I will most likely go where ever it is, just cause I want to do this that bad.

Doesn't Calico require full skids? If I remember correctly there were some newbies/new Jeeps that signed up. (Not referring to me, naturally). Anything for them at Calico?
My friend's family owns Slash X Ranch in Barstow. Never been but I'll see if we can do something cool for a Meet N Greet there. Not familiar with the trails in Johnson Valley though- so I don't know if there are a variety of trails there either.

Correct that full armor is recommended for Calico.

There is a stocker run (Mule Canyon) that wouldn't require skids. Probably wouldn't even require a 4WD vehicle either, mostly fire road.

Doesn't seem like calico would appeal to the above stock, below built, jeepers... (Me)
