It never fails something happens in the 11th hour. Just be grateful you "know" people that can help you fix it

That would be me, the guys are swamped. It's all good, I need to stay sharp on the "other" things that jeeps need too!

Mikes back at his shop with the Jeep right now, he was so busy today he didn't get a chance to put the hi lift jack or Jerry can rack on it. He trimmed the Rubi Rails and got firewood bundled up, so that's done. We're planning on heading out tomorrow @ 5-6 pm.

No matter how much planning for any trip, there's always a last minute scramble

I think there's a guy that sells firewood on Ghost Town rd, but I'm not sure when he's open. Someone mounted a spare tire inside the back of my jeep, so not much room for firewood. Need wood!

Lol ... The only reason I ask if there was any one that wanted it easier is because no one was saying so. Jeff put together a good moderate run that has the ability to go easier or harder very easily. The way it is now is about the same difficulty as last chance canyon.

If you guys choose to stick with group two maybe one of y'all could lead or be part of a smaller subgroup that hits the obstacles that the main group will bypass, like the hard area leading into Wall Street. Or the tougher of the two bypasses around that section, then just meet back up with the main group. It's a big group... Which would benefit from some seasoned jeepers.

Heading back to camp a small group can even split off and head down Odessa or doran. The other two groups should be clear by then. We did that on the pre run and it worked out fairly well on time. There are lots of options.

Meet and Greet

I would like to attend the M&G on Friday night, more than likely bring the wife and two kids if they are up for it, or just maybe me and the boy. I know it says Calico, but where at exactly and what time?

I can bring some firewood if you don't mind pallet wood and scrap lumber.

Would love to make the run on Saturday, but we already have some plans that we can't cancel on.

Thanks.

Alright WOKNROX, you put the fear in me.

I saw some videos/pics and while I'm pretty sure I can make it through, I don't want to chance breaking something as this is my daily driver. So, remove me from run #4 and if I come up I'll jump on an easier trail or roll with JKIM.

Hey Champs, welcome to the Forum. The Meet n Greet at Calico Friday night is at the campgrounds. Just look for the group of Jeeps parked around the cabins and surrounding camp sites. Many very friendly and welcoming faces that will be happy to see ya.

Jeff

Couple more hours and we will be on the road I'm not too thrilled with this wind we're having, hopefully it dies down as we head East this evening. The motorhome towing the Jeep + wind = me a nervous nelly

I may have to sit on the couch and have a cocktail to help

We packed firewood, I think Mike bundled about 20 good sized pieces up. I'll see if we can throw a few more in.

I am now at JPI and stan is hooking me up with rear lockers. I will finally have a locker and not run with LSD in the rear and open up front. I can now tackle with ease some of the hard spots.
Stan is taking good care of me and Jeremy is doing a great job. For those of you who know me I drove 80 miles to get here. Thanks Stan and Jeremy. I should be better ready for Calico even though I previously ran it with open diff.
See you all at Calico.

If you guys need extra wood, I can probably bring some even though I am not camping, but staying at the Oak Tree Inn down the street.

Joe.
