Jeff & Sandi, I'm sorry we had to miss the wedding. I know it was an amazing event that was in the most perfect setting for you two. I see many, many adventures and laughs in your future I wasn't kidding about Sandi's parents at dinner.....they really are Mike and I in a few years, Lol!!

I still can't believe Sandi's friend lived down the road from us, it truly is a small world.

I have to thank everyone on Friday's run for showing us the ropes and getting us through. Mike has been such a great sport with the Jeep and let me do what I want, secretly he loves it!! He loved meeting everyone and I was proud that he behaved

I'm glad we were able to do both Friday and Sat. runs, it made it easier to see more of Calico and make more friends. It's amazing how much there is out there and how beautiful it is.

I've fallen even more in love with my Jeep and the things it can do after this trip.

Everyone is so helpful and fun, I look forward to seeing everyone again.

Lisa

Had a great time at the M&G! Thanks to Turd as usual for organizing, to the trail guides (DTM is the best), and to Geoff for organizing the wedding gift. Oh, and to Jen for making the name tags. I think they should be mandatory at these events so I can stop butchering people's names...

Always good to see the new faces stressing out about the pin stripes and such. It's always fun to see the reactions of people that are new to wheeling.

To Jeepspotting team: you guys get the 'brass balls' award for attempting 'THE GATE'. I only caught the last 20 minutes or so, but very impressive. If you guys end up attempting again, please let us know so we can watch, video, etc. I got some crappy cell phone video, will upload later.

Here's some video of the Friday advanced run. This is just the extra credit section attempted by DTM and Coop. I have video of both days, will post as soon as I have a chance to edit.

See you all at the next one! Big Bear I assume?

The runs went off without any drama, aside from my Friday prerun of finding every dead end in the hills. The main event runs worked out better than I had hoped. When one group met another we made room to allow everyone to continue with the fun. I have a little new beauty mark on my Jeep, and I am aware of a couple of scraped fender flairs from others in group 2. All part of the fun of playing in the dirt.

I would like to apologize for not being present in camp after the main trail runs for the scavenger hunt results. I know many of you worked hard looking for the items listed and taking pictures of the listed items. I had every intention of doing so, but was informed at the last minute that I was meeting my soon to be in-laws at Peggy Sue's for dinner. I promise that for the next event, any prizes for games will be given out in a timely manner.

Our wedding could not have gone over better. The weather was perfect, the food was great and everyone appeared to have a great time. I would like to thank everyone who attended the wedding and lunch afterward. Also, an extra special thanks for all the members who participated in the "Supper secret secret surprise"!!!! I am still in awe of your generosity and creativeness. I had never expected anything even close to this from anyone. Sandi and I will definitely enjoy the gift very soon.

So, I would like to take this time to publicly thank the following members for their help either on the trail, with event organizing, or just plain good spirited fun enthusiasm. You have all made the Turdhurdler Productions excel past it's humble beginnings of a couple dozen members.

Yomondo, you have jumped in feet first to assist with leading trails, cooking meals and tending the ever popular Libation Station.

JPi1, you are always willing to lend a hand to other wheelers, rather it be pulling one of your employees out of the shop to attempt a Jeep recovery, servicing their rigs in shop or showing us how it's done with trail repairs.

Gunner, my friend, brand new to the hobby and your passion is that of someone that has been doing our hobby for years. From organizing snow runs to being at pretty much every run posted up. Then your great spirit makes the time to drive to other members homes to assist with projects they may have. This generosity is not seen often and I feel privileged to have gotten to know you.

Aftahour, I enjoyed our first wheeling trip to Idyllwild and playing in the snow, great times. Being local, we need to get some dirt on our tires more often. Looking to seeing you on the trails.

Fred1 and Kota7x, you guys rock. Always willing to help out on the trails leading a group and and lend a hand when asked.

Yeeper5150, while I have not gotten to know you personally, your eagerness to become part of the WF family is wonderful. I look forward to meeting again and getting to know you more.

530ktm, always down for a run and one of the nicest guys I have ever met. And also willing to step up and take the lead or fall into the group somewhere to make sure everyone has a good time.

Jerry Bransford, wow, the man, the legend... Your knowledge of Jeeps and your passion is immeasurable. A great friend, trail leader and Everclear connoisseur. You always have a whimsical story to share with others and willing to give advice without stating your way is the only way.

Suicideking, I remember your first run with paper dealer plates. Watching your rig go from a fun but stock form to the nimble Jeep you have today is like watching a child grow. I am excited to see what happens when your jeep hits puberty, haha.

BillG.OTD, you are a great guy, always willing to go wheeling, lend a hand give advice and enjoy a frosty beverage with after a dusty trail day.

Slo Mo. Mo, I just met you and I have got to say you are truly the most high spirited, friendly and happy go lucky person I think I have ever met. I have actually adopted your phrase of "I have a full tank of gas and headlights. I'm good"!

ChuckMRN, unfortunately I don't recall if we have met. If so, I apologize for my lapse in memory. Thank you for your contribution to the WF gift for Sandi and I.

Bsc, you have been part of the Meet n Greets from way back in the beginning stages. Your humbleness amazes me as you are always present, but very soft spoken. I have never seen you shy away from an obstacle and I enjoy seeing you take a mostly stock Jeep places you probably should avoid. I look forward to many more wheeling adventures with you.

JeepHerz, Jenn, thank you for all the help on creating a website, spreadsheets, and updates that I missed. You and Adrian are wonderful people who I enjoy calling friends. We need to hit up the wineries soon and talk up the night.

Cons_Table, Geoff, you have been there from my original Turdhurdler event. You are a great guy, talented wheeler and good friend. Wish we lived more local to each other since you are such a blast to wheel with.

The above mentioned members went above and way beyond anything I could have ever expected with their generosity, love and wonderful attitudes. Without them, my wedding day while being perfect in every aspect, was made that much better. Sandi and I thank every one of you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done.

Jeff & Sandi
Thank you for a great run. I will not forget this one ever. The new friends I made and the experience I gained will be with me forever. Also you can use the saying anytime you want . We were never lost we were on an adventure and it was a great one. best wishes to You and your new Bride. Sorry I could not stay for your wedding.

Thanks for posting up the vid Rick! I know I can make this obsticle if I had a front locker. I like the line Scott put me on this time. In the vid you can see my 241 working away spinning both rear tires (that were locked) without any froward movement. With my 231, the engine would rev but the tires would not move. Now I have to be careful I do not break something in the rear.

Thanks to Jeff for all the hard work! And best wishes! Thanks to Dan for great spotting/trail leading. And to Bill for being my personal trail leader. Go Pro video to follow- will probably only take a month or so to edit down LOL. (Any suggestions for software anyone? PC or IPAD-preferrable).
I loaded my pics on the Calico website. Two photo galleries- a basic one. And the latest flash version- best if you want to save a photo.

I use trakaxpc for my videos. Pretty easy to use, way cheaper than some of the high end stuff, and has quite a few features for someone wanting a basic edit.

Great event Jeff! I think everyone enjoyed the trails they ran and breakdowns were ver minimal....So will this be the 9th Semi annual event next year or the 1st Annual Turdhurdler Anniversary Run?

Right now you need to relax and enjoy your honeymoon, but know it wont be long before your posting the next event up in Big Bear..

Maybe we can have Stan post another M&G at 7 Oaks first...

Thanks Jeff, Mo, Stan, and all the rest who made this a great weekend for Mimi and I. First time tent camping in years (since the boys were in scouts) and a great run in group 2! Will get pics up this week I hope.

I wish to thank you for the kind words. But in all honesty, things kinda fell into place with the help of many members helping out. No way in Hell I could have done this without assistance. And I am definality down for another Seven Oaks run. That was a blast and very relaxing. Just tell me when Brother, and I am there.

April 6th is the opening day at Seven Oaks resort, but the temps are still very cold to camp, and I talked to the forestry today, and the word is the gates to some of the trails we use won't open till after may 1st. I'm thinking late may for a run there.

I was very impressed with Judie's driving, just like she has done it many times before. I also give you credit for being a passenger for the whole trip and not getting in the drivers seat as we all know that is the most fun.

Glad she had a good time. It's important to get your spouse involved. So you can take Jeep trips without guilt.
(That's why my father taught my mom how to golf.)
