Should be a pretty quick swap once you get those brackets off. You goin to SOA with this whole deal? Since you are welding new stuff on...it only seems right

Staying spring under. With SOA need new springs, min of 37" tires etc. a bit more of a budget hit than I want to get into currently.

Talked to the wife and you'll have your axle Monday 17th...
I was hoping you'd have it for the weekend but it was a no go...sorry.

Do you still have your stock springs?
Stock springs with a SOA on 35s is a sweet deal...
Sorry for hijacking the tread...

Stock springs went to scrap long ago. I currently have 4" lift. Waaaayyy to high for SOA, haha. No worries on the hijack. Since we are talking axles, do I need to replace my axle seal other the new axle shaft or just refill the lube?

No...after removing the tire.....just unbolt your caliper and remove...then unbolt the unit bearing and pull out your old spindle/axle....reverse the process to put it back together and your done.
Just check the fluid and full as needed....your good.
The axle is coming FedEx and you have it Monday...
Steve.

OK Gang, we are just over a month away from the next Turdhurdler Production. Oddly enough, our attending count is down from the last couple of events. If I have missed anyone, please let me know so that we can keep the member count high. There are several trails in Big Bear so we should not need to worry about too many Jeeps on the trails at one time.

Jeff

Alright guys...I guess I HAVE to go now booked my site.

You can all find the "moderator" at site 77

And since the holcomb/dishpan run is almost full, you can put the twins (who I am assuming will come) and I on the JB/holcomb run. If the group gets big enough, I would love to see another holcomb/dishpan run put together. I need a little change of scenery from JB

PS...this thread has been stuck to the top of the CA section and the "poll" removed. Hopefully that will get some more traffic through here.

I had a chance to check out the main Waterfall on Dishpan this weekend at Forest Fest. Bill and I arrived just in time to see a jeep go thru that section with a trail leader hanging on the front right fender (acting as a counter weight). Without him there, this jeep would have been on it's side. In fact it almost went over with him on it. CRAZY! The night before, it was reported that 2 jeeps flopped! This section is way worst then last year. If you are signed up (or thinking about signing up) for this trail, make sure you have atleast a rear locker, protection, 33's, and some recovery equipment. It's going to be a challenge!

That was our plan, but it was packed with jeeps, so we did not get a chance...

Looking forward to the party! I was just saying last weekend on the trail, that I have six bottles of Tennessee Honey in stock at home looking for action.

Well we are going there to do some. "crawling" maybe the drivers will be doing a little of that along with the Jeeps

I'm still not exactly sure what trail to sign up for, I think I'll have Mike watch some videos of 1 & 2 and see what he thinks
