Anyone else needing storage is free to use my campsite as well. I'm on site #72. I'll be taking up the full driveway with Jeep + tent trailer. Probably won't have anything on the actual campsite.

Getting some last minute wrenching in before the M&G ... Stan is awesome enough to ship some parts up to me since I can't make it down to see him.

Very busy for me. Gotta go and restock the used camping supplies, work my normal shifts, pick up my Jeep from JPi, etc. plus many little things that seem to show up unexpectedly. I love these events!!!

I have yet to figure out why I start preparing for trips weeks or even months in advance, only to have crunch time stress. No amount of prep takes away the last minute rush to finish things, lol.

I guess because I feel organized I add more things to the list, then it's a panic to get the list done

It's always fun though, and once we're on the road the stress just evaporates

Can't wait for this weekend!!! Almost didnt make this run as it is my wifes Birthday on Sunday. I told her I would make it up to her. This is going to cost me BIG time Anyways, Knowing my passion for Jeeping and she has never been on a run, she agreed. We will be going up early Saturday morning and want to know if anyone wants to meet and follow? Live in Murrieta. PM me...

Sounds like a little something sparkly and expensive may be in order while on the trail Saturday

That was on the 20th anniversay, I just bought her a Grand Cherokee Laredo today so she's going to be easy on me for her B-Day. Besides the Grand Cherokee, July is a very expensive month for me. My daughters birthday, my 23rd Anniversary today, my wifes birthday on the 22nd. But somehow I managed to squeese in my lift and front driveshaft .

Looks like I will be heading up the Mtn on Saturday AM. Since Trail #3 will depart from Big Bear and drive to Arrowhead to get to the trailhead, I will meet them in route in Running Springs. If anyone wants to join me, drop me a note...

It actually rained in Big Bear this weekend. (Not the best weekend to have gone up without doors). With any luck the trails will be a little less dusty.
Ran into a group of Jeeps and a stock FJ on Gold Mountain. (Pretty sure his stock steps will never be the same but he looked happy.) One of the guys lives in Big Bear. You should have seen the look on his face when I mentioned there would be 50 or so of us there next weekend.....
For those of you who have never been to GM here is your preview (not shot this weekend).
Just took this video for the noise of the rocks...

I saw a thread on here about the Jeep Badges ... FYI JB, Holcomb, and GM are all have their own badges so if you wanted in on that don't forget to download the app before the M&G

2 years ago, the rain was so delightful on Friday that I scrambled to set up a tent as quickly as possible to try to dry out inside it. The Saturday runs had a bit of rain, but not enough to make it bad, just a challenge on the trails. Now the drive home on Sunday with the winds blowing the rain sideways and being doorless and topless was quite an experience, haha. I recall Brandon had a blast with that no his drive home. This weekend should be great for weather though.

I don't have much of anything done either, we get the motorhome back tomorrow from having some wiring done for the flatbed trailer.

Tonight is list making time and I'm off work tomorrow so I will be doing the marathon shopping, packing, house cleaning, stuff.

We plan on having the jeep loaded, trailer hooked up, MH ready to roll by Wed. night so we can just get up and go Thursday morning.

Most of the camp stuff is still in the tires from calico. I just mostly gotta load it and shop. And since its just me this trip I should have a fairly light shopping list lol. Angry Orchards, pepperoni and cheese W/crackers, water and potatoes lol

Oh and coffee !!

I will check with Mike, I think that would be fun. The only issue is I have my grandson staying over Wed. night and have to drop him at daycare before we leave Thursday. We may not be on the road until 9-9:30 and wouldn't want to delay you guys.
