It really doesn't even seem that hot.
Ok if you open ur radiator cap and run the engine can u see your water flow? Did u replace thermostat? Did u seat thermostat correctly?

Ur water pump may be out if your water isnt flowing

Replaced the cap and the thermostat put it in the way it was and let it sit in the space for a bit before putting together. After I do my work at work before I leave I will make sure the water is moving f tard replaced the water pump last year. Who knows he could've done that wrong too.

Yeah im almost willing to bet might be your pump check your hoses as well make sure no cracks. A slightest leak will lead to over heat.

Well the brake job on the 42 Willys is done except for the fluid. Next up is the carb rebuild and then sadly. It goes up for sale.

Had the thing since 1990 and the previous owner had it from 1957 until I got it. Great shape for a stock 42 Marine Corp jeep but it and some Harleys gotta go. I just don't use them anymore. Still be sad to see it go.

If they're gonna mod it out. They can save dough by buying one in worse shape or not running.

5K gets a non/minimal rust stock one with all original drivetrain, gauges, wheels and accessories for restoration.

Okay made it home. One of the guys at work had me check a few things. 1. No water in the oil. 2. I was about a half gallon low on coolant (filled it up i guess i am supposed to start it and then recheck the fluid lesson learned) 3. Yes the water/coolant is moving.

I drove to the bank to do the deposit and drove home. It never over heated but... It normally runs right at 210 it was running about 230-240. A bit warm IMO. Any ideas?

As far as I know. The little fan runs with no issue. I only see one directly begins the radiator. So honeys buddy has a radiator shop and thinks I just need a good clean out. Gonna go Tuesday if that doesn't work Calico is out.

Rhonda, If the water is moving and it has been working before all this started then the water pump went in correctly. It would have not worked from the get go. If the fan is turning and pulling air then there is a good possibility you need a good radiator flush..You can do that at home. Remove both radiator hoses. from the engine. Take the garden hose and put it in the bottom hose. Seal it off with a rag. Turn on the hose. Not a ton just enough to get a good bit of water coming out of the top hose. Run that for 5 minutes. Then put the hose in the top hose and do the same thing. If it is now flowing clear then hook up the hoses and fill the rad. Leave the cap off. Start the motor. Keep filling it till it won't take any more and the temp reads 210. Put on the cap. If it then boils over then your going to need to have your radiator guy look at it. Use just fresh water till you know it is working right, then you can add the coolant.
