Today my brother in law took me on a helicopter ride, this was my view of the 405 and long beach. It was a blast.

Sorry about your Grandfather, it sounds as though he had a good long life. That's all any of us can hope for.

Being an adult can suck sometimes. Didn't you mention house shopping? I'm guessing that's the reason for selling. Mike has an 06 Harley Road King Custom, not the big full dressed one. We have so much fun on that bike, I wish we had more time to ride lately.

They had to have an influence on the New JKU's build too, some spots are so freaking tight a small child is the only one that can get their hand in there. Not easy telling a 2 year old where and how to hold a wrench so you can tighten a bolt, lol.

That was a long drive all the way out to Lucerne to take my son home. Ugh. I bet when he gets to move back he will never get in trouble again. IMO there is only one reason to go to Lucerne. DIRT PLAY

Stan, I have a 3.5 lift. I have plenty of clearance for the fenders, at least on flat ground, lol.

The pics aren't that great, but there's only an inch, maybe a tiny bit more space from the rails. You think it will be okay for Calico? The tires do say 35" on them.

I got nauseated looking at those. Heights make me queazy. Something I thought would be fun till I flew about 5 years ago in a plane. I cried like a little girl when started the engine. But congrats on your adventure!!

Are those the ugly wheels you were talking about? Or is that another set?

Oh ya, I'm an old pro at these banquets. Between Ducks Unlimited, NRA, The Deer Hunting Assoc. and a few others. The only one we haven't been invited back to was the Deer Hunting Assoc.

I think it's just an oversight, but it could be due to Mike winning the grand prize of the night which was a gun safe with 2 rifles. We may have celebrated a bit too much

I actually got home last night and folded 2 loads of laundry, changed the bed and cleaned my room Hit the floor running this morning again and got a good chunk of housework done and some laundry before going to a Rotary St. Pats party that was also a surprise b-day party. I got home about 6 and finished up my chores to be ready for Monday.

Thank goodness tomorrow is a work day, I can rest up for the rest of the marathon week, haha.

Yes they are, they actually look better in person than they did in the picture. I will be sure that over time they become ugly......with rock rash

Because of the discontinuation and return of these wheels, they were cheaper than any basic wheels we searched for. I'm all about a bargain

That's good to know Bob, my Duratracs give me more clearance with the rails. Although, I do remember reading that they aren't a true 35 like the MTR's.

I don't care too much about fender clearance, I plan on needing to replace those down the road anyhow

I'm a firm believer in sleeping a full 7-8 hours at night, I just have the luxury of not having to be at work until 9:30-10.

I have to go to bed at night knowing I filled every hour of the day doing what's needed or something fun

You can trim the rail a bit at an angle to follow the pinch weld. Just don't get into the body. Might give you another inch.

Thanks gunner. This summer he is taking me on an R44 with doors off to catalinas just to go grab a bite and cruise around. This was something to cross of my bucket list, I can't wait to take that r44 with the doors off.

Its actually not as bad as a plane. My brother in laws ability to control the heli was awesome. He really worked hard for his comercial license.

I'll mention it to Mike and see if he can get a chance to do it or have the guys at the trailer shop do it while the get the wiring set up.

If we can't get to it, do you think it will be an issue this weekend?

Lisa, If your control arms are stock, you may have some tire to rock rail contact, if they're aftermarket arms, you will be fine. As the axle travels up, with most lift systems, you gain clearance in that area. If you want to test it, drive the left front tire up on a big rock, wall, whatever you can find, so the right rear compresses. Then check your clearance.
