DON'T DO IT!!!!!

I made that mistake yesterday. Went to take off the Panhard Bar (jeep calls it a track bar) What a flinging fiasco!

2 bolts, 2 nuts. Should be easy huh? Nope, both nuts were different sizes and one bolt was still another size and the other bolt was a Torx.

So it took a 18m, 20m, 3/4 SAE and the Torx.

Jeeps are made in Toledo Ohio. So why the metrics? When jeep orders bolts and nuts I bet they come by the train car load. Usually when you buy that quantity you can pick whether you want metric or SAE.

sheesh

Done. Installed the internal slider supports and changed out the camp chairs for the smaller ones. Got everything to fit in the back of Shorty and I am ready to go.

There's times I wish I had kept the YJ instead of the TJ. A lot more simple and lightweight. Mine was a 2.5 and it had plenty of power for me.

Na no one night stands for me. It's to much effort to get a sitter and all that to take care of te kids. I can wait. I spent ten years with that terrible person, I can wait a while to find someone new.

Thanks gunner. I remembered on the way home that night as the kids complained that were never home. But yeah still lurking when I have a second to take a peep in.

The back was a breeze and the front was not hard except for all the different sized stuff was a huge and stupid PIA.

The passenger side was trying to be hard but I just airgunned the nut from behind the axle with a long extension.

It's sad in a way. The poor coil heads who are forced to limit themselves with track bars. Makes me want to weep for those poor souls...

Yeah, they bind the leafs and limit the suspension. And with the OME 2.5 springs on their way I'm just removing today what I would in a week anyway.
