I was worn out after our garage sale yesterday, got in the Jeep to come home and some bird crapped all over the hood, winch, bumper and mirror. It was a freaking mess and the bird had to be huge!! I had parked under a couple trees, never again.

So I came home and washed it before showering and going to the charity dinner we had to attend. No wonder I was falling asleep during the speakers, lol. The nice thing is the Jeep is shiny clean and my car is too. Of course I washed my car on Thursday and it's been sitting in the garage since.

Oh, and speaking of sliders getting torn up, mine got a good workout at Calico:

My bumper got a nice whack from a good size boulder too:

All in a good days fun

Undernieth the winch. The underside of my bumper there was a big empty void. I just welded some cross bars to mount the unit to. Nice little project.

proves you were'nt babying it. A scratch on Da Punikin's bumper is way diff than one on the little Grey ghost.

I told Mike when we hit, "it is a Bumper, it's meant to bump." He just gave me his usual eye roll and shake of the head, lol.

My car has one, very tiny-tiny door ding and that's it. No scratches or boo-boos and she will be 7 in June

I think I'm going to sand mine and paint them with plasti dip. I think they will rust otherwise, it's down to metal in some areas. I may have to touch up the bumper too, since it's bare metal.

It's the only time you will ever smile when you hear scraping, slamming and banging in a vehicle

We hit so hard one time I started giggling, Mike asked what the hell is so funny about that. I told him I was just thinking how I got my monies worth on all the skids I just had put on and it was funny

If I hear any of those noises in my car I start crying!! Scraping is a big no no in the G

Calico so far is my favorite run. I like the trails and the sights. I think next time out ought to be JV.

Na, if you're really that concerned with rust they sell stuff that counteracts the chemical reaction.... Then add spray paint.

I'm just messing with y'all. My sliders got hammered on the Rubicon last year. I never re painted or anything. They did their job that's for sure.

I have an electrical question as I am electrically challenged. I installed my fuse block for the aux. electrical and getting ready to attach my cb to it. The block has a 5A fuse and the cb has an 3A inline fuse. Will it effect the power to the cb if I keep the inline fuse in place or does it need to be taken out of the line? If taken out, Is the 5A fuse going to be too high to protect the cb?
Told you I was electrically challenged.

No, fuses don't effect current until the eater amp is meet then it will open. What I don't like about your set up is the clutter the more connections the more points of failure.

Thanks DD. As far as clutter, the fuse block has 6 total circuits with a fuse for each one. Not much clutter compared to what I've seen. 1 Circuit for each aux. item. I installed the block under the hood so everything will be marked and fused seperately.

I'm going to buy another can of the spray bedliner and cover the spots with that. I did my rear bumper and fuel tank skid with I and its tough as nails.

I'd like to hit the rubicon this summer. What can you tell me about it? How many days to run it? Camp along the way? Anyone going this year and can I tag along?

I'm on a waiting list for a group of 15 that are headed out this summer. I'm sure if we got enough people we would be able to find a guide.

How's Marc doing this morning? When do they do the test? I'll bet not soon enough for him. Tell him hi for me.
