Go have an iced coffee to take the edge off, or take an Excedrin Migraine since they have caffeine in them. Good for you quitting those drinks, it will be better for you in the long run.................unless the wifey kills you before then

He finally made me hang out with Mom so I could learn to cook, haha.
Yeah, that's my daughter. She helps me build my garage cabinets and loves to 4wheel. Not much on the grease, but she will keep me company in the garage while I'm under the jeep, hand me tools. The best of times!

LOL he has you well trained. Both mine became girly girls. No more getting dirty. My youngest has her own Nail salon in her extra bedroom. Her neighbor and her bought the light and close to 50 bottles of colors and transfers. They do something called gel's and use a light to harden them. They change them every week.

Back when we were young and impulsive (a really long time ago ) We would hook up the boat, throw the kids in the truck with some snacks and head to Havasu at 10:00 at night.

Mike would stop in Maricopa at the mini mart and get a huge bottle of Mt. Dew and a couple snickers bars. He could drive 9 hours straight on that.

We'd roll into Havasu City around 7-8 the next morning, wake the kids up and go in Walmart to get our supplies. The kids and I were well rested, Mike not so much

Oh the good ol days

Sounds fun! We do a week long trip to lake mead at least once a summer. On the boat from when we wake until the sun is going down. Then do it again the following days until we are exhausted at the end of the week and head back home. Then back to work to rest. Haha

We used to do a 10 day Powell trip every other year, alternating with Mead for 7 days.

We just camped out of our boats on shore at Powell, that was rough!! The other wives finally demanded a houseboat, I went along with that one

Mead we always do a houseboat, we haven't been in 2 years to either lake and I miss it. Things just got busy and the families we always go with have teenagers with jobs and commitments now. We discussed doing one last Powell trip next summer, I hope it happens it's such a beautiful lake.

We would love to do a houseboat but just motel it instead. The houseboats are stupid expensive. I'd have to find another 5 families to afford that. Haha

Ya, that's why we did it every other year and with 3 families on a boat. It's still pricey, but we also get the houseboat to a good location and leave it. All the exploring and playing is done on the other boats.

Good plan. Maybe someday. We took friends one year and they couldn't believe we stayed on the boat ALL day. They envisioned hanging on the beach playing ball. We just pull tubes and boards all day, then stop and let everyone swim and cool down. And let the dog swim. So much fun.

We do the exact same thing. Even at our local lake, we pack lunches, load the dogs and head out on the water. We find a nice cove, drop anchor and hang out in between wakeboarding and whatever.

It's funny when the dogs swim to shore to potty, they start wandering around and sniffing cow poop We just start the boat and they bolt back, we've never left them but they seem to think we may. I guess they take my threats seriously, lol.

What type of boat do you guys have?

We have a 1997 Malibu Sunsetter. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor, I'm a bit of a stickler and have, "boat rules". Haha, the kids give me a hard time about it. We bought it brand new in 97, have never had any problem with it. A couple years ago we looked at new ones, $68,000 convinced us to put a tower and new stereo system and stick with this one.
