Looks great Rhonda! I can tell the jeep bug has bitten you... it's all uphill/downhill from here... Now you work to build the jeep. haha

Lol I think it was one hell of a crazy bite. At least that's what my invoice says. And the honey. Although I did get exactly what I needed and I am sure that people have spent way more than I have at one time. Now it's time to move forward and have some fun!

Corbeau is a great seat. They were competitors of our companies seats. I still have a problem with the bolsters on those type seats. I use to lift weights and am real brad across the back and with the weight I have put on the bottom ones are tight. But the real problem is my right leg goes out from the pressure a lower seat bolster causes. I just barely fit the jeep seat on top. It is not flat and digs into my back. I will have to do a stretch some day and that will help the departure angle problem.

Bob, maybe you can find a Jeep seat at a wrecking yard and take it to an upholstery shop to have them re-work the foam. If the frame is in good shape, they should be able to pretty much build a seat to your specs.

It will probably be about the cost of buying a good seat, not sure what the rates are down that way.

If you were closer I'll bet my dad could do it for you. He made the seats in his CJ5, then re-made them when he discovered he didn't like the bottom cushion.

Just a thought

Thats a good idea. I have a adopted grandson "He adopted us" who works at an upholstery shop. Why didn't I think of that. He went thru the Wyo Tech custom Upholstery school.

There ya go! Just talk to him and start searching Craigslist or junk yards for a seat. If it comes out like you want, have Geri's done too. Then sell the extra

Your main cost will be the foam, it's a petroleum product so the prices are usually a little high. I would think the labor cost would me minimal (or none) so you would just have materials.

Corbeau came out with the Jp seat to combat those very issues you have with today's suspension seats ....do a search for the Corbeau Jp suspension seat for more info...
these were made for jeep people from info given by jeep people ...
hope this helps..cause a good seat makes all the difference ..

Hey guys. My buddy has a 1974 DJ postal 2wd. He needs some good used springs and shocks if you have any around for cheap. It's got a serious sag to the left that is too much to drive. It just looks bad. Let me know.

That's very cool. It's really hard for a guy like me to stay home. Considering I was a feral kid growing up in Asia and migrated through Europe all before I was 16 when I got reunited with my father. So that being said my wife of 18 years is the only thing I know of what a family is.
That's why she constantly bosses me around and tells me this is what families do. The woman talks and men listen.

As it should be

We took our friends from Montana out to dinner last night since they left today, another couple went with us that we've known since grade school.

We got talking about Jeeps and Calico (big shocker ) and Tom (from Montana) told me I was stupid for taking such a beautiful rig out and tearing it up.

There are many things you can call me and I just let it slide, but stupid isn't one of them. It's probably the one thing that will set me off completely. Mikes face just dropped when Tom said that. His comment to Tom was, "ah hell Tom, don't make her go all Italian on you now".

I did very well to behave, I just told him that stupidity would be buying a $38,000 Jeep, putting another $20,000 in it and then just cruising around town and to the mall About that time Mark changed the subject, lol.

Funny thing is... I think it's stupid for someone to spend that much money on any vehicle and not using it for its intended purpose. Having a Jeep and not wheeling it is like someone buying a Lamborghini and never getting it above 75MPH.

There are two AEV Jeeps in my neighborhood and neither have seen dirt. Annoys the living hell out of me.

My thinking exactly I like your Lambo comparison, I think you would have to go at least 75 to get out of 2nd gear

Dennis had a 2012 JKUR exactly like mine only silver in his shop when I went to discuss building mine. He put a Rock hard full roll cage, full skids, winch, bumpers, 4" lift, tires, wheels & a couple light bars.

I asked where the guy will take it to wheel and Dennis said it will never leave the pavement I've been back to Dennis's twice and that Jeep was there getting more mods done, it still has never seen the dirt. It looks really nice though

So I cancelled my driveshaft order after finding out that it was just being sent out today when he finished building it. Then I went to inland empire driveline and Nacho is building one for me as I type. I will pick it up tomorrow morning and be back on the road! Yeah!

I was going to try and explain that I've put the money into protecting the Jeep and I'm not tearing it up, but decided to just not go there.

I'm sure there are people that see the scraped up sliders and big scratch on my bumper and think I'm abusing it. I really don't care though, I know that I actually baby that Jeep, keep it clean and just use it for what it was built for.

Besides, I have great memories getting every one of those boo -boo's
