I'll tell you what though the very best thing out of it all was my bolt box. It must have weighed 175 lbs. But I was always in it either digging or adding to it. It was a treasure trove of goodies. Fittings and screws all sorts of things.

We used C Clip eliminators all the time on the 8.8's for the higher hp drag cars. Had 8.8's in 1000 hp cars.

I think I would've ditched it for a 9" long before I hit those numbers..

All these crazy c-clip stuff. I love my Toyota axles. Yes I know I mentioned Toyota but those things are strong.

There was an article in JP about running Toyotas in the jeeps. Said the same thing. Doc Our church is talking about sending a group of guys to OK to help with things. We did it for Katrina. Took jeeps and chainsaws. We cut trees and pulled them out so people could get into their places for free. We might do that again.

Yes they are...and front loaders too....like a 9" or an ol 8" ford....so you can have different gearz all setup for different needs...
The ones out of the old FJ's are much bigger making them darn near bullet proof....its just to bad they're an offset axle in the rear...

Getting another briefing later today if we are going or not. I guess a charity feed the children is on the ball and is handling it well. Most of the displaced have been sheltered by friends and family. You got to love that. This is something you won't see in New York or Chicago. It is a conservative value of the state. I hear that Feds are not getting a warm welcome ether.

I guess I could always have the coil mounts welded on if the price was right. What do you have? I was thinking it might be better to upgrade before regear if I can swing it $ wise

That would be nice. Just got to get there before FEMA brings in the unions or it will be like sandy. The union thugs were pushing away volunteers.

I was thinking the same. I know I want to change the rear end. I have a 35 which I guess flys apart whenever it feels like. I want axles that keep the wheel on the tubes even if the shaft is broken. For the front I would like a kingpin set up but I would settle for just chromoly shafts.

After doing a quick look at IE Craigslist ....I found a front Wagoneer axle for $300
and a Comanche Mj d44 rear axle for $400.....
There you go....you can get all your mounts from AtoZ or BlueTorch Fab...or what not..

But really if you go with the Waggy front I'd run the Isuzu Rodeo d44 in the back...both have 6 lug and it will have huge disc breaks too.... can easily be found in the junkyard with 456 gearz along with a trac loc....

Hate to add in new wheel cost because I change bolt pattern. Didn't realize the rodeo also had a d44 that would work. I guess all would require new mounting hardware to be welded on? I know the 8.8 has the same bolt pattern and I can get one a pick-a-part for $115 then strip it and prep for having the Artic Trus and mounts welded on which run about $300 pulse welding. Guess its all going to cost a fair amount which ever way I go.

I had questions about the door rubber placement and windshield attachment.
