I once saw a Mustang convertible flip and slide on the top on the highway. Amanda was about 13 and saw it too. She has never wanted a convertible after seeing that, I haven't either. I think the Jeep is the only convertible type vehicle you will ever get her to ride in and that's with a roll bar.

I tell my wife my son can have the tj but for my girl she will get a old Saab. Those things are nuclear bomb proof. I rolled one in Argentina like more than five times and ended up half way up a tree and the cab was still in one piece. The engine flew maybe another 100 yards into forest. I was wearing 5 point belts and a neck brace.

I knew a guy that had a Saab, it was the ugliest car ever, but bulletproof. I think you could drive thru anything and survive. He loved that car, wouldn't surprise me if he still had it. Lol

Haha, that's true! When Amanda was just starting to drive we looked at a beautiful black TJ. The guy had a 6" lift on it and it had never seen dirt, it was an eye catcher.

Amanda kept telling Mike she really wanted us to buy it so she could drive it. We then looked at a taupe TJ, she hated it and said it looked like an old man Jeep. After hearing that Mike wrote the check with lightening speed

Mike had a look he would give the "dates" Amanda brought home, plus having a couple Deer mounts on the walls helped. He never had to say much and the point was made

Just kill a big hog, mount it in a visible place and let the boys imagination run wild I'm sure wearing your uniform and leaving your badge where it can be seen is a good idea too.

Ya but he's younger, they will already be in trouble by the time he figures out what's going on.

My son is 5 1/2 years older than daughter, it sucked when he brought friends home. For awhile she was annoying to them and they ignored here, by the time he was in College and she was in High School it was a whole new game

Yes, I rule with an iron fist and it was a darn good thing

Oh Lord, when Amanda had a friend over it was game on I didn't get any grey hair until she got into high school, and I earned it!

Okay eventful day. A customer approaches me as I was getting off the phone. I was standing by the jeep as I have no phone service in the office. He approaches me and tells me he has no gas and I drive a jeep like he does. Could I please buy him a gallon of gas to get home. I asked where he has to go for home he says Crestline. Ouch! That's about 40 miles from my store. I told him since he drives a jeep I would do $15.00. Hopefully he made it home. He promised to pay me back. And was very surprised when I told him I was the manager. He is a regular at the store. Kinda felt bad but knew there was no way 1 gallon would get him home in a 84 yj.

That was very kind of you Rhonda, I'm sure he appreciated it and it helped him see there are good people out there......most of them are Jeepers

Well it was a busy day getting all my ducks in a row for the new Jeep.

I've got Stan saving my rear and making some brackets for to tow it home.

Mike has his little instruction sheet on how to get to Stan's to pick up the brackets, then to Keith's to get the Jeep and how to get the Jeep set up for flat towing.

I did the banking gauntlet and went to three different ones to transfer money from account to account. (Made me realize I need to put all accounts at one bank!)

Everything should be set, Monday morning I'll kick Mike out of bed at the crack of dawn so he can hit the road and go get my Jeep

I won't be able to go with him, being the first of the month I have some financial reports to do for work. I'm pretty sure I'll have to review the statements multiple times due to my mind wandering

Okay we are planning a meeting of the Misfit minds on Sunday June 16th at about 4ish at Buffalo Wild Wings in Rancho. If you are able to or want to come you can RSVP on here PM misfits or in face book. We know not everyone can make it and I am very sorry we could not find a date that would accommodate everyone. Hope to see any of you who are interested in being members there.

That is so cool!!! Every little girl needs a Barbie jeep

I'm keeping my eye out for a decent one on Craigslist. I want to paint it Orange Crush for Caleb for Christmas.

Mike said there's a newer spray paint that will adhere to plastic. I also have a good friend with a body shop so I can verify with him.

One of the coolest things I saw at Calico was the young couple in the Yellow TJ leaving Sunday morning with their daughters Barbie Jeep strapped on the back of the Jeep. I wish I had gotten a picture, it was just so cool.

You can do a compound cross bow with a scope. It is deadly and silent. Also very legal for you.

That is all just dumb! There are plenty of people out there who are careless and just waiting for the opportunity to mess up. I would trust you with my life Todd!
