Hi everyone.
Been busy with things. Lots of family drama and then the church held a huge Freedom celebration. The city let us take over a high school football stadium and we did a 4 band concert with a 20 minute pro fireworks display and food. I worked the Funnel Cakes and ate too much food. Settling down now and enjoying the weekend.

Hi SnakeEyes.. What kind of jeeping do you want to do. You should talk to Woknrox and Goin Campin. They have jeeps all the time. A sweet YJ makes a great starting point for a killer rock crawler.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Bob

You might want to post a new thread asking if anyone is from Coachella. You'll get more answers. But it's a big wheeling weekend and most will be back here monday.

Looks like I will have a new trail leader for the next Calico meet. You will know those hills like the back of your hand, haha.

Amazing. No tugs needed made it nice crawling at 1/4 of the throttle I used to use.

A fantastic weekend with friends and family at 7 Oaks! Fireworks Thursday night above the lake, a good jeep ride back to camp. Friday was a total relaxation day, and Saturday had us going to JPIs Adopt A Trail, 1N38. The trail is more challenging than ever, with the steep, rocky hill climb. Then it was up another trail to Big Bear for a Mexican food lunch, and a drive back on the dirt to camp. Thanks to all that were there and shared the four days with us!

Hi SnakeEyes and welcome aboard.

Are you looking for a daily driver or a 2nd vehicle?

Another thing you can do is hit craigs list etc. and post the pics and descriptions here. There is a ton of knowledge and experience here and these folks can spot the danger signs of a jeep to avoid.

IMHO, look for one with a straight six with fuel injection.

Before and after going to Azusa canyon..lol
It was fun. (First time taking my 14bolt and Dana 44 out to the mud) my 4 cyl can carry them like stocks hitting 60 on the freeway and bogging in the mud.

The guy we bought the Jeep from sent me some pictures today from Big Bear, John Bull. Wow, it really looks tough. He said it's really torn up and he loved it, lol. He took the new JKUR he bought and was really impressed with it.

I'm a little nervous about the meet & greet, there's a good chance we will get to use the winch on the TJ, haha.

It will be fun no matter what The pics Keith sent me were cool, his JKUR looks good on the trail. That suspension he's got on it is crazy!! He loved the way it cruised through everything. He did find the longer wheelbase took a little getting used to, but it did great.

He's going to come up early Friday and we're going on a short run, when will you be up there?
