Most of the people on this thread are from above San Diego. If you post a "wanting a run in San Diego 10/12 then you should get some hits.

Last minute run... If anyone is in my area and wants to get out today I'm gonna be doing some exploring of Fossil Canyon and surrounding hills in the rainbow basin area north of Barstow ... I have no idea what we will run into out there ... Haven't really played back there yet ... This area is used mostly by mtx guys ... Probably get out there around 10ish ... Let me know and we can set up a meet place

Flintstone tube buggy model right Joe? Love the red and black you got going. How does it flex?

Lol definitely flintstone style ... Forget HP ... This baby has 1HAP (horse's ass power) ...

I do miss my pizza cutters though ... Maybe my next set of tires will be 34x10 bias swampers

Fossil Canyon is not really for Jeeps ... Saw a lot of really cool things today but every wash I went down was a dead end ... If I was on a motorcycle however I would have been in heaven ... I'm going to hit it again this time from the north before I call it a bust ... I will find a way through that canyon ... I'll throw up some pictures tomorrow

Here are a few shots from Fossil Canyon from yesterday ... Gonna head back someday and try to find a way through the canyon ... every wash I went down got too tight for me to fit through ... lots of cool hidden camping spots back there though

Hay Mark... are you wanting to stay on a 15" wheel with 37s?
That's what I've got.

Yea I'm thinking 4 iroks for my 15"s and find a decent spare, rather then 5 beadlocks and 5 tires. That gets kinda pricey.

Yeah that sounds like a plan....my new Iroks are 36x13.50 x15s....their actually taller(37"),liter (65lbs)and cheaper then my 37x14.00x15s....you might also checkout the TrXus MTs....they have a 37x12.50x15 that is more like 38" tall and 13" wide and the guys around here are lovin them on the rocks....plus they live longer on the road too. They weight in at 72 lbs....just an option though.

Have fun...I love the midweek runs. I was up there a couple weeks ago ...always good times.
I'm taking the jeep to work today so I can checkout some mods I did to the jeep on El Diablo on my way home....

Brand new? I don't think Chrysler makes a locker for the D30 but RadarRob2012 will know for sure

A Sahara is just a churched up Sport...I've taken everything that made mine a Sahara off...lmao

LOL, this one will be daily driver/work vehicle and weekend fun. So leather, heated seats etc. will be very nice.

P.S. Got the official word on factory lockers. No dice.

I got my rubi with 3.73's and was getting 20+ mpg with it. Now that it is lifted and big tires, 4.56's not so much.

Sahara's have sure come a long way since my '08. Mine isn't so nice...

A cheap alternative for lockers ... Aussie locker makes a locker for the JK D30 ~$300 ... and you can get factory LSDs (Trac-lok) in the rear

I wonder if you can get the Track loc in the front....I had those at both ends on my ol Yj Sahara when it was on its stock axles....it did really good here in the desert with that setup.

Jeeps website only had the rear trac-lok listed as an option... I may have missed it though ... The Aussie front trac-lok rear is probably the route I'm gonna go when I get the funds ... Unless I can find a cheap selectable locker for the rear ... How hard is it to install the trac-lok? I'd prefer to do it myself if I could
