A few buddies and I are going to run Rattlesnake up to Big Bear tomorrow. Let me know if you want to go along.

Just a word of warning though. My friend Phil and I turn into Bozo's when we are out on our own so we'll probably get lost.

At that RPM what is your M.P.H. in 4lo?

She does best at around 2000 to 2700. With the 3.73's and 32's I was rolling about 70 to 75 and it just floated along. Now I am 60 to 65 with the 35's and 4.56's at the same rpm's. Off road in 4 low I could get to about 20 25 pretty easy. but it has a really low first gear. So it crawls really great in 4 high. And you can do a switch mod to have lockers in hi. But with a 3.59 low you can crawl.

I am such a moron. The word "you" was supposed to be anybody. We are meeting at the Route 247 diner in Lucerne Valley at 10:30 gassed and ready if anyone wants too. Bring radios if you have them.

4 low speed is not bad. 4 high lockers is even better.

Hmmmm. Guess I'll wander through the local jeep dealer this weekend and look around.

With my 2.72:1 I'm pulling off the same speeds in 4LO. But my crawl ratio is about 20 points less. So if there isn't much disparity in price, a Rubicon would probably be a smarter purchase (especially if you plan to weekend warrior it) since it already has everything you want. Very little to modify.

Watch the desert dealerships though, they very obviously jack up the prices.

Always Rob, hard to justify spending time on our shop projects while we have so many customers projects. So I work 7 days a week, part of the job!

Going out to Stan's in the morning to get my Transfer case skid installed. All powder coated and slick. Then Weds I start Physical Therapy on my right leg. Maybe they can get my foot to work right and give me some throttle control again.

I think all he does is go out in the dez and explore. He would never hunt poor defenseless animals. He only eats steak like the rest of us..Cows and chickens don't count..
