Yeah...you'll need to have it reflashed after you get it all put together. You could also send in your complete harness and have it striped down to do just what you need.
Is this motor/trans out of a 4x4 truck?

My son and I did dishpan in the snow going down hill because we are Nancies but made it in a stock jeep and no traction aid. It was a lot of fun and my son learned a valuable lesson. Don't go with dad when he says "let's go for a drive "

Actually they are the same LS Based architecture. Same style heads and all. It is considered an LS motor.

Oh yeah...I remember those days LONG ago as a kid growing up in Lake Arrowhead.
My dad was 4 wheelin the ol (then new) Scout every chance he had....I was always right there with him....kinda funny...out of 5 kids I'd be the only one with my hand up when he'd ask who wanted to go for a ride in the Scout....
Must of wore off on me cause my boys are the same way as I was when I ask them if they wonna go out in the ol Scout or the jeep....circle of life I guess...

Yes they are identical the only difference between the two is the material of the block I believe.

That should be a Gen 3 LM7 Iron block aluminum head. 295 hp 335 lb/ft torque. A really sweet motor. Trans is electronic version 4 speed. Nice. It should power that thing very nicely.

Does anybody know how much body lift is required to get the fuel tank's bottom flushed with the frame? It's a tj model.

You gonna use the novak mount kit. They also do the reflash and wire strip.

Well yes I do as a matter of fact...lol
Would've been a little easier if it were a 4x trans....but you'll need to change the output shaft but once that's done your (with the right spline count ) 231 would bolt up....not that that is what I would put on it but would work. Are you gonna run a AA transfer case or is this going to be as I like to call it a trash to treasure build...?

I don't know. Mine hung down there quite a lot. I was going to go for the Genright crawler tank. It is pretty tight and high.

I'm staying with the 231. I still like to flat tow it for long trips and two stick transfer might be too long I'm already going to cut the rear off and mud flap it.

I read that. It was awesome what you did. But with your work experience I would have expected nothing less. I would love to put a 4 speed in mine but the computer won't allow it. Atlas has not been able to crack chryslers code.

Come on and share Brother. We all fall on our face once in a while. Don't be stingy with the Jeep porn.

Really. Do you have a patent on it? Just to be fair I would like to buy one from you later if you want to sell one. I just believe that one should be compensated for ingenuity. Just not right now. Taxes hit me hard
I had a double on my Toyota that I made myself I think it went to 6:1 rounded off.
I can always trailer it. For long drives.
