And I agree- what you start out thinking you want to build your Jeep for may be totally different than what you wind up actually doing . I also thought desert/pre-runner when I bought my
JK/lift. Yup. Did that. Once. LOL.
Nope I had bought some used RK 2.0's. They are what blew out. These ought to be much better.

Two things I don't go cheap on off road shocks and tax lawyers.

I completely understand. I'm the rebate, recycling queen. It cracks Mike up when I spend 2 hours sorting and bagging all the recycling, then load it in the Jeep, haul it 10 miles in and get a whopping 14 dollars. Haha, between my time and the gas, it's more like 4.00, but it's the idea that makes me happy. I put whatever I get into my Grandsons savings account.

I buy so much dog food that I send the UPC codes in and every 6 bags I get one free. At 52.00 a bag, it's well worth it. I save where I can and take my lunch, that money adds up to a lot of cool Jeep parts

I'm so glad I have a great dealership! The hinges on my passenger side door are bubbled under the paint, now the paint has begun chipping off. I thought it was rust, but it's not rusty under the chipped paint. My Service manager told me to stop by their body shop and have pics and an estimate done. Upon doing this we discovered all the hinges have some of this bubbling going on. I guess they use aluminum and it does some odd thing that causes it if not prepped correctly.

The dealership just called and I have to swing by tomorrow so I can sign some work order and they will order me new hinges. I will be without the Jeep for a few days after I schedule the repair, but that's no problem since I have my car. Tony told me they will replace everything and if they notice any other issues they will take care of it also, under warranty He told me if I wanted to just take the doors off and leave them, that's not something you can say to other vehicle owners, haha.

I'm pretty sure the hinges are the only issue, I haven't noticed any other problems with the paint. It's so nice to not have to battle and argue to get things fixed, as much as we pay for these Jeeps we should be taken care of like this at every dealership.

I'm pretty happy with Cerritos Jeep. They have taken good care of me and not tried to up sale me. I'm at Americas Tire right now getting a new free shoe. Those 45 dollar certificates are well worth the money.

As far as the shock hanging down its gonna have to live there a bit longer until I save up more suspension money. That's gonna be next year sometime but they do have skids welded on them so at least it has some protection.

I really need to pre-run SledgeHammer sometime before FITD because as of now I'm leading it. I also want to run Sunbonnet soon.

As soon as I get me Jeep fixed, I'll come out and play with you. Sledge is fun and so is Sunbonnet.

With smaller tires the mail ledge on sledge is a bit of work

Good morning everyone.

We were thinking of doing Freeway Ridge over off the 178. Sunday morning is the target.

I get home around 10:00. Not to mention the time to prep then drive up to BB. It would be around one.

You up for a trip north on Sunday?

My tj is doing something interesting. When I apply the brakes the odometer starts flashing at a steady cycle. It just started this after it been sitting in the garage for a while.

I don't really care unless it's a indication of something that will leave me stranded.

Yeah probably not the best choice of trail for your rig there Bob.
I'm thinking something smaller like Boulderdash or Lower Big Johnson.
Even Clawhammer is a tougher trail now after KOH. It gave Rick (suicideking) a good workout with his 4dr Jk on 35's.
I'd say once you get your shocks to higher ground you'd be better suited for the bigger rocks like Stoddard Wells.

We are not leaving for BB until about noon. I am off Sunday but it will be a family day. That means no rocks.
