Haha, well I'm the only one in my office but the Public Defenders office across the hall was none to happy with me

Serves them right, I get their low life clients coming in my office by mistake all the time even though their door says, "Public Defender"

I don't care much for them either, simply because their clients bug me and sometimes scare me. I keep my purse hidden and when I step out of my office I close the door. They get some real winners go into their office

A couple of the actual attorney's are pretty nice, some are weird and a couple are just plain rude. There are a lot of people in their office and they pay the rent on time each month. I do the bookkeeping for the owner of the business, so they bring me the rent money

Had an attorney try some stuff on me as a material witness. Judge laughed when it backfired on him. He didn't like my answer and tried to get it stricken and the judge told him he asked for it. Later after court the guy pulled up next to me at a stop light and laughed at me. I jumped out of the car and came across the hood at him. LOL he blew the red light and was gone. He lost his bogus case against my boss.

Hey Elmo, I have a question about a ticket. CHP pulled me over and stated in his words "I think you we're going about 10 over" then proceeded to issue me a citation. Was driving company E350 box van from stop light approx 1/8 mile. Posted speed is 45 and he wrote 55 in the ticket. I personally don't think the van has the ability to pick up that much speed in that amount of space. Anything I can do, or just man up and pay the ticket and hit traffic school?

That's why cops write at a 6th grade level so the lawyers can understand it.

No, you show up and state your case to the judge. You have a chance the officer won't show and even if he does you can ask for a reduced fine.

My dad fought his one and only ticket ever last year, he got it on his birthday. Lol, they reduced the fine for him due to financial hardship.

He was guilty though and they had him on radar so there was no way it would be dismissed.

I have a friend that fought one and it was thrown out, the officer didn't show because it was his day off.

Just give it a shot, you never know and if you truly feel you weren't in the wrong you need to tell them that

See, there's always a chance. Plus I'm a firm believer in standing up for yourself if you haven't done anything wrong. I also believe if you have, suck it up and take responsibility.

I'm sure my time will come for a ticket, it will be in my car no doubt. My radar detector has saved my butt numerous times, but someday my luck will run out. When it does I will suck it up and pay the fine, I just hope it's worth the cost and not for doing 70 on the highway. Lol, although I never do 70 so it probably won't be an issue

I'm sad that Todd, Elmo, and Gonzo won't make the meet. I was looking forward to it.

I'm not a leo, a expert or anything like that. The question is were you doing what he said you were doing? If you were then pay the ticket if not put your case together and argue your point. It is your duty as a American to argue your case and be heard. Or just bend over and sing the national anthem while they pile drive it to you.

Me too Gonzo and the kids were going to put their tent in our spot so they didn't have to deal with getting one. I wanted to meet the munchkins and Super Dad. And Elmo, well I was looking forward to meeting him and having a toast to his new baby Elmo. Bummer!!

I slow down in the Jeep, but it's really hard in my car. It's like a little slot car with a 6 speed manual transmission.......who could go slow in that??? Plus I get better mileage in 6th gear at about 80
