Lets try and keep this Mod happy and kid friendly.unk: A place to hang out and talk jeeps, family, work, whatever. Watch the language and topics so we don't get shut down.:nonono: If you decide to do a run then post a new run thread so this doesn't get cluttered. And above all keep it fun.
The only thing his Jeep will get is some type rubber strip over his tires to get traction. When he was little and had the little scoot along truck we used a hot glue gun to lace glue over his tires. He was able to ride it on the hard wood floors without sliding. The Jeep has issues in the sand so Grandpa Mike will have to deal with that this spring
Sounds like my old Tax Season days.....no overtime though I sooooo don't miss that profession!!
We're going to look at some new trucks for Mike tomorrow. We're going to look at GMC, which he has never had and wants to research further. He has only had two trucks, both Ford F350's and both have been beat to crap and actually held up amazingly. He's a little nervous to go a different route, but so much has changed we're going to see what our options are.
No Phil ..government only pays DoD time and a half after 40hrs. The only way to get double time is if you work on a holiday. ..and even then they don't call It that. They give you Holiday pay and then you work straight time for that day.
I'm not complaining or will I ever ...I'm doing what I do for the best cause I can think of....I do it for our guys in the sand!
At least you guys get over time. I work for a small business and the owners don't pay over time. We just get 'comp' time. At least we don't have regular over time though, just special circumstances like servers dying.
Rick I can comp my time too. But only the OT acquired from the 1st week of my 2 week pay period. So I have been comping 60 hrs every 2 weeks to go along with my normal 8 hrs of vacation time I receive on every check.
Yeah gotta weld in one of the two front supports but its pretty much done. Then comes the joyful part of cutting the skid out of a 4ft x 4 ft piece of 1/4". Then drilling all the holes and countersinking all the bolt heads. I feel like that part takes the longest.
Well Mike got a beautiful 2015 GMC 2500 truck today. It's the Z71 package so it's got all the bells and whistles. It's the new brown they have for 2015. He's so excited. We also got a great deal on their basic 2014 long bed as a delivery truck. There is a very happy salesman counting his commission tonight since he sold 2 trucks without even trying.
