Hey here's a quick update on my auto swap into the Yj....I've got the new trans and TC in, wired along with new break peddle (one for an automatic) and the exhaust is back together... The best part is the jeep starts with the key and runs as normal.... so tomorrow morning I'll drop off the drivelines at Johnny Beez in VV..... the wife well bring them home with her after work....NICE! Then I'll come back to my shop and get back to work on the ol boy... gotta make good use of my last furlough day.. lol
All that's left to do is mount shifters,4wd shifter, trans cooler and drivelines along with some clean up and I should be back in business again.

Way to go Steve, try to give it a shakedown run of sorts before doing the Dusy though

I'm not sure what kind of center console you have, where are you mounting the gauge?

That looks nice Bill...I'm putting gauge in a single gauge mount holder and mounting it to the bottom of the dash....for now at least...I ordered a new console so maybe I might find a spot there.

Nah Sledge is just a fun bunny trail.
Love the ledge by the plaque. The first ledge all but disappeared

Terralo is noisy as hell, to get any kind of life out of it you are constantly shifting from lo range to hi range, since over revving the planetaries kills it so when you get close to 6-7 mph you want to go to hi range. Then even with a lil 4 banger when you get just a lil rambunctious it whipes out one or 2 bearings of the satellite gears in the planetary.
Killed mine once was repaired under warranty, but took about 6-7 weeks to get it taken care off. Almost every wheelin bud I have that had one of those things killed em and replaced it, with either a 241 out of a Rubi or an Atlas

In hi range they are ok, till it takes a crap, then darn man you cannot turn up the radio up hi enough to drow out the racket the poor thing will make.
When mine finally took a complete dump it made so much noise coming down from Big Bear it was pathetic. Poor thing was singing it's death song very loud and very clear. Still got me home screeching and screaming for 60 miles.
It took it about 4 or 5 weeks from initial failure to it's complete death.
With about 5 or 6 good days of wheelin in between

Thanks for the input, I've heard that they have high failure rates but no one ever says why specifically.

Guess i gotta start saving my pennies.
