This week end GIANT ROCK!

Looking to take my son out to Giant Rock out by Landers. He requested to go! Does anyone one else wanna go Sunday? Nothing specific other than Giant Rock we can wonder around and search for stuff. I am stock so I can't do anything crazy. My oldest son wont let me go alone so someone please go with...

Sorry thats a long drive for me. I'm way out by the beach. Landers is a good 2 hours then wheel for a bit and head home. Too much gas for too little wheeling.

I'll check with the guys in the clubhouse thread. Maybe one or two of them might be able to do a short notice run.

Awesome thanks if I can't find anyone I will do something else. My boy worries about his mama going out alone. And he is all the way in Colorado or he would tag along in his big ford. Lol. But my 14 year old wants to go. I am signed up for the calico trip at the end of march and I am taking him on that trip. I am sure we will have a blast. I wish I would've taken him with us to big bear that was amazing.

Come over to the clubhouse and introduce yourself. Might help if people know you a bit better. More inclined to go with someone they know.

My wife and I are talking about it now. What time do you want to meet? It's going to be a near three hour drive for us, so we won't stay too late.

I live on Bearvalley and Central would you wanna do Saturday or Sunday? Anywhere on Bearvalley would do. Or even Lucerne. Up to you. Want breakfast or just meet up? There is a 7-11 on Bearvalley and Navajo to top off or what not!

Trying to rework an appointment for Saturday afternoon. We would rather do Saturday. I will let you know as soon as I can. BREAKFAST!!!! LOL!

I don't know the area, but we can figure it out. We should know something in two or three hours.

Ok; Jacque and I are in. We are definitely bringing the dogs.....can't wheel without the dogs! Not sure if we're flat towing or driving. Is there a safe place for us to park our SUV if we flat tow. It's my wife's baby, and I don't want anything to happen to it. I will call you right after lunch and we can iron out the details. Looking forward to it!

Dan!

Just toodling in the desert looking at a big rock isn't leading a run. But I gotta obey the boy. Mama will get in trouble out playing alone. Lol thanks gunner for all your help! Can't wait for calico though! 🎀

Jacque and Dan I and the boys had a great time! Thank you so much for coming. Even though we didn't make it all the way to giant rock. It was an awesome time. Did so much I didn't think I could do.

It was great Gunner. The boys got to climb some rocks, and explore a couple of mini caves, I got to play a little on some of the rocks, and Rhonda got to test he nerves with some of the descents I picked! good times for sure!

It was great. But wow it scared the you know what outta me coming down the hill!

The desert is an amazing place to explore. There are so many things out here we don't even know are there. Mines and caves and my son showed me on the way home a grave of an old Indian in guess that used to live in Lucerne. I drive by that corner in a regular basis when getting him and taking him to his dads. I had no idea. That book he has is really cool. Gonna have to get me one.

I forgot to get the name of the book last night. I will post it tonight when I get home from work. It's all about Lucerne, Johnson valley and surrounding areas. Gives some history and locations of cool things to go see. GPS coordinates also.

I don't think I am gonna get all crazy. I think I was tapped out on the oh shit monitor this weekend. Going up I am all good. But the going down part as steep as it was and rocky and oh ya thought we were gonna die! My heart can't handle that kind of excitement. Lol.

My Ex bought it at the library in lucerne. I think there is an address on the back also to order and I ended up buying it from him. I "FORGOT" to return it. Lol. So I gave him the cover price if $23.00. Now it's mine and I don't have to go shopping....
