Our guests from Montana arrived today, so Mike took them up to the Ranch to go pig hunting. It's nice to have a little time alone at home, I'm getting a big pot of chili made so I don't have to deal with dinner tomorrow night. I love my crock-pot

I think I love you. Lol

And I've been known to drive to Buellton for split pea soup, and San Francisco for sourdough bread. So your place really isn't that far. Lol

Lisa, you guys run a guide business? Or is it private hunting land. Planning a trip to vandemberg soon to get more piggy, they are delish.

Since I've met most of you I thought I'd share the good news. Holcomb ate my rear tire, so thanks you Craigslist I got three half tread 35 MTR's for a song. I kept bumping my thread on JKO and FINALLY got a hit for a matching spare beadlock. I am estatic!!!!

That is all. Carry on.

No guide business, just a private ranch a little North of Paso Robles that Mike has access to. We have friends that have 4,000 acres in the Huasna area of Arroyo Grande and Mike has access to that also. He usually hunts turkey and deer on that ranch.

We do have a friend locally that has a turkey hunting guide service. He gets guys from all over the Country coming to hunt there. Mike got a trophy sized turkey off that ranch last year. It's Mike's best friend, so he gets to hunt for free

There are a lot of pigs out around Vandenberg, Mike used to go out there a few years ago. You should get one no problem from there.

That's awesome about the tires, those things are ridiculously expensive new

Chili sounds so good right now. I can't wait for goose season this year so I have a steady supply! Oooo, goose sausage too...excited for dove this year as well. There is nothing tastier than dove wrapped in bacon!

Never had goose sausage, sounds good though. Dove is one of my favorite, I just wish it didn't take 10 to fill you up, lol.

My Leo dog loves dove hunting, maybe not as much as duck hunting, but close. Duck hunting is his favorite because Mike makes him peanut butter & jelly sandwiches to eat in while in the blind, haha.

When we were in South Africa we had Warthog sausage, it's delicious!! They had cheese and some really good seasonings in it.

Morning all...so I wole up this morning with a completely different idea on my rig/TC situation...

You know I just recently laid out $3K between rig maintenance and my tooth..that kind of bit into my plans for JoanZie's TC...

USAA wants to give me $3K at a monthly note I can afford plus be able to wheel on every month still..I can pay it off however quick I want with no penalties..I was just going to cancel it, because now I don't have "my money" anymore to put along side the loan money, but I'm thinking, I'll go ahead and still get the loan. I'll put it in a Rubicon fund account. Pay it off ASAP, then get me another loan like that and do the same. There's $6K...maybe have to do one more, maybe not with the funds I'll already have in my bank account, and there's my 2nd Jeep-Rubicon. I'll keep JoanZie as a DD and back up. By my timeslines; next year.

I've been looking around and watching my friends score on Rubicons and /or rigs built/geared for $10K. I'm sure something will pop up. People are always upgrading or going to buggys or whatever. They want to unload their Jeeps..and they know they wont get what they put into it..but they really want to sell...

So, that's my plan..whatcha think? I'm planning on faxing loan paperwork in this morning.

Why have two jeeps to maintain, smog, DMV, tires, etc , sell yours, and with the $3k loan and what you have saved, get a Rubi now. If you get a nice Rubi, you'll never drive the jeep you have now.

Well, if I didn't already know you, I'd think you we're nuts. But since that was confirmed quite some time ago, I say do whatever makes you happy. And I completely understand the want for a trail rig in addition to a daily driver. I've already started looking at trucks and trailers to pull my Jeep on. Even though the bank still owns it for four more years, and I can't afford a second payment yet. Yep, we're twisted, you and I. Go for it.

I woke up this morning to find my new Jeep sitting on the counter

My friend Paul bought it for me I think it's funny that Mike went out in the yard and found rocks to put under it, especially at 6 am, haha.

We husbands are always the lucky ones...just look at our behavior sometimes! It's a miracle we could keep their attention much less have them live with us for so long.

And then they feed us--yeah.

Being that she commutes and doesn't get home early enough, we share the cooking duties...except I don't do dishes!
