Some of you have been wondering where I’ve been. It appears I have ruptured a disk in my back. I should be hearing from a Neurosurgeon today. Looks like I won't be able to do anything but have back surgury at this point. It’s affected my entire left side of my body; which is numb. My chiropractor told me he’s never seen a rupture this bad. Just my luck right? I never do anything half mass! :nonono:
For all of you who know me, you know I WILL BE DYING not being able to wheel for a while. Just got my Rock Hard sliders put on too! Tummy tuck and steering box skid are going on Saturday. I’m totally bummed about this, but I will be living vicariously through you all. As soon as I am able, I’ll be back on the trails. This will be just a little set back.
Go on lots of runs and post up pics! I want to see all the fun and silly times you guys are having! I will be there in spirit! Lorie :wavey:
So the bottom line is the rear axle is $900 and the front gears are $100 = $1000 for everything.
For that, you're getting a Super D35 with 30 spline shafts, Locked with an ARB Locker, Riddler diff cover for protection and 4.56 gears front and rear. THAT is a good deal.
All you'll need to do is get a compressor to run your locker.
You go to an axle swap like me or even just a D44..you're looking at more than twice of that PLUS shipping and handling...and then labor...which would be Way more.
That sounds good. I just stopped and had some take out. Went to doctors chest X-ray was ok no pneumonia, but antibiotics...so will see... Just lil under the weather...I usually lve to cook but nit when I don't feel good...
Hi Hellen. I noticed you wsnt to modify and were asking about Lories axle. It is a great deal. That axle and gears some 33" tires and a simple cheap 2" budget boost would get you through yellow jacket no problem.
Yep. I am not sure what I am gonna have do to Happy, but something s gonna give. I hope I can purchase her axle and then maybe a lift and 4 new tires to get started....
How would that effect the fuel economy? With 35 tires and a about I think if i remember right 4 inch lift the fuel economy drops from about 15/16 what I have now down to 12/13 or so.... How would the 33 tires play that out?
Im on 35s get 17 on hwy and 15 in city. About 10 when Im wheeling. The bigger and better you build it for off road the worse it is going to be on road. Just the way it is. I have an auto locker in the rear so my tires chirp on the street all the time. At lesst w that ARB in Lories axle your jerp will still have good road manners.
Is someone with a Wrangler concerned about fuel economy? Bwahahahahahahaha!!!! If I get 15 mpg on the highway, and gas costs $10.00 a gallon, I don't care. I'm still driving my Jeep. Lol
I think, having happy modified will make him awesome for off roading and just cut down gas mileage by some. But you know what, that's why they invented Gerry cans...
