Party Crasher

Hi everyone.

I have been COMPLETELY away from anything and everything to do with jeeps for months now but I am hoping some of the folks I have wheeled with might remember me. Most of em used to post on this thread so I wanted to say hi.

I still don't have much time to wheel but figured I would never even make time unless I actually knew about some runs. Only one way to find out about runs, turns out you have to actually log on to a jeep forum and see what is up.

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope the only stuff I missed was all good and that there are no bad "updates."

Thanks Ron. I went back a few pages and saw that. Sounds like a fun group and a fun trip. I would love to meet you guys but that goes right back to one of the many reasons I have been out of jeeping for months - work. I am on-call this weekend. I used to be on-call once a month but now I am getting stuck with it at least two and sometimes three weekends a month.

I am going to the BB M&G though so I have that to look forward to.

I just found out the dog food Lily & Mocha eat has been recalled for chance of Salmonella. The lot numbers match the bags I've got and they have already eaten almost all of one bag. They seem fine, but now I've got to really keep an eye on them Leo eats prescription food, thank goodness I don't have to worry about him. This sucks, now I have to go get new food and worry.

You know, dogs can eat what would kill people. Cats can eat what kills dogs. Rats can eat what kills cats. And cockroaches can eat anything. Just an observation. I think the dogs will be fine.

I'm pretty sure they are fine. Mocha is his normal, obnoxious self and Lily seems normal. I've been feeding them this current batch of food about 3 weeks and it's probably fine, but I bought some different stuff today. I hate to throw away a 57.00 bag of dog food, but don't really want to chance it.

Bernie!

Hey buddy, Debbie and I were just talking about you guys last week (or was it the week before?) She reminded me that your "little girl" was graduating from UCR. You must be so proud. The family all say hi. Tucker has not been in the jeep much but he is awesome in the desert on our dirt bike riding trips.

See me on the rocks..... dude at this point I need to re-read the owner's manual just to figure out how to get it in 4WD.

Anyway, hope you all have a safe and carnage free trip this weekend.

Yes that is correct! Melanie graduated from UCR last Sunday and our son, Daniel graduated H.S. with high honors the week before her.

We are very proud of both our babies!!

What Lori said.

It goes by fast doesn't it Bernie. Where is Daniel going to go to school?

Nicole is finished with her first year, she made the Dean's Honor Roll both semesters and finished 6th in the State in the 400 relay.

She did not think it was that big of a deal until I pointed out to her at the awards banquet that she actually got national recognition for it. Pfffft kids.

Thanks Ron.

I'm really really good at sitting in the stands and watching her swim.

Whenever I give her advise it is something like, "You should try to swim really fast."

Although, for some reason she always swims faster when I am there. As if I am not already proud of her.

I think Bernie and Venessa and Debbie and I all got lucky with our kids.

Thanks guys, we all have many blessings to be thankful for.

Daniel will be starting this year at CS Fullerton. He's majoring in kinesiology...yup, he got my good looks and brains too! Well Vanessa was a great incubator, I do have to give credit where credit is due.

Thank you Lorie, we've done what we could to get them ready. 4 more months for our baby girl to flys the coop by getting married and moving to Oregon.

Mel moving so far is going to be tough for daddy and mommy to get used to. I don't know how I am going to get through the wedding, I suspect I will be balling like a little girl....hahaha.

Awww..maybe we should have a celebration party? B- I can't imagine you being any more proud. With kids these days, it's tough to keep them focused on what's right; let alone to have dreams and believe in them and go after them. You and V were the best parents, and now you all can reap the rewards. I'm so happy for you!

You too Rich! Lucky kids is all I can say. I wish I grew up in a family like that.

Will do Lori - IF I see her anytime soon Between her job and summer school and her boyfriend, seems like she is never home.

I miss her, we miss her. I feel for Bernie and the pending wedding.

Please don't take this the wrong way but I am kind of glad you did not. I fear you would rule the world now if you had some support early on. Well, maybe just the Western Hemisphere.
