I'm still waiting to hear back...beginning to feel deflated tho. Why would she call, pre-interview me, speak with my mom, say she wanted us on a plane asap and then not call back? Maybe it wasn't meant to be

You should call her. If she is going to turn you down make her actually turn you down.

I heard back..and her response:

Hi Lorie,

"We are definitely still interested. Sorry I didn't get a chance to get back to you, we just didn't think we could coordinate your segment in time for the show today. I will be in touch in the future, because I still think you'd be great on the show!"

IMO, I think that's just $hitty. Don't call me in the first place then ...is how I feel about it. Pretty disappointing.

I've been chasing this dream for years..hard to stay optimistic at this point. I actually feel a bit angry about this one. Don't freakin' build me up to let me down.

Yes, my wife and take some nice rides on our Road King as well. We just took a ride up the coast a year or so ago and went right through your place. We ride up to Santa Barbara at times and cruise by Emma Wood and the area. Maybe we can hook up sometime and go for a ride.

The producer and I have swapped a few more emails; and it seems like she fully plans on having me on at some point...maybe she wanted me to have more time on the show than what was initially planned before she spoke to me ? So even though patience is not my strong point, I shall patiently stand by.

In my last email to her, I laid out several different ideas on what it was I thought I could do to contribute to this industry..maybe that'll inspire her to have me on sooner than later..until then, we wait

Sounds like a good idea, we're always up for a ride

I'll bet your waiting pays off, just keep telling yourself that when you get impatient.

I would think a show like that has a schedule mapped out for at least a couple weeks. I'm sure they have a couple back up stories in case something falls through, you don't want to be the back up. You want to be scheduled and a decent amount of time allotted for your story.

My guess would be they initially thought of you as a back up and that's why they wanted you ASAP. Then realized you need to be scheduled so they can give you more time. Just my thoughts

Thanks 530KTM!

And that is how I'm feeling about it after our conversations on the phone and emails afterwards. Initially, I was completely deflated and felt like I was watching my dream fade away, but after getting a couple more emails from her today, I'm thinking maybe they just wanted to make sure I had enough time. She thought I was a huge personality Go figure! But any time I talk Jeep; I can't help it. It's so obvious to anyone my passion runs very deep...and you don't need to be in front of me personally to 'Get it'. You can hear it over the phone and through emails

She was correct, your personality is huge I have a feeling this will turn out well, just to get your foot in the door is a big thing.

Heck, Leo the plain old bird dog was the Hartz Hero. Lol

Jeep made me this way. It's not my fault! And yes, it's always getting in initially. Some of the most successful people just caught a break by knowing somone and getting a helping hand.

Hartz hero? Leo was on TV?

He did their print ad for Hartz Crunch & Clean biscuits.

My daughter saw an ad on Craigslist, sent in his photo and they got back to us immediately for a casting call. We drove him down to the studio and they fell in love with him. He got the job so they put us up in a hotel in Hollywood for a night and we did his photo shoot the following day. It was at Siren Studios and it was really interesting. Poor Leo was pooped and slept all the way home.

He was in all the major magazines Hartz advertises in, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal and a few others. When I first saw the ad at the checkout of the grocery I almost screamed, lol. I was jumping up and down and showing everyone in line, they thought I was a lunatic.

I bought about 10 magazines and gave them to all my friends, I kept a couple.

I'm off to Dennis' to give him some money for my skids I'm going to take a picture of the amazing black Jeep for you, Jeep Porn
Then to the gym

Wow Lorie sure hope this comes thru for you. Like you said sometimes it only takes some one to see you and the rest is history. Did you link to your videos on Youtube?

Thanks Bob! I'm staying hopeful! As for uploading videos, it's like anything else with technology..I'm kind of challenged. I do have one video that shows me doing the bonus points at Calico..I'm not sure if that's on youtube or not. Danny shot it for me and sent me the link.

That's actually a great idea Bob. Videos of her not only wheeling, but spotting people as well. That would Def get their attention.
