I made a mistake and bought some metal yesterday. I hope I'll get the front done today and have some poser flex shots by this afternoon.

Not lately, been busy as hell being sick. Caught an infection from my wisdom teeth being removed. Then some viral throat deal. But now I'm taking care of some small things on the Jeep, been playing around with ideas for some things. Next month I'll be MIA and hopefully this fall I'll be able to get out more.

I'm psyched for you but I have to ask, is that a good price? Assuming you do the 4.1 later thats what another 2.5 to 3.5 g's~ with labor and tax so almost 10 in the hole on joanzie? 10g's goes very far on a used rubi that will always be worth more in the end and have the 4.1 and not a four banger. Although you do love joanzie, maybe your at the point of diminishing returns.

Dont get me wrong I'd never buy new, especially a jeep. I dont know how they sleep at night with the current rubi prices but used is definitely a good market with many options as people have already spent the money for you.

Ya it is. That includes the 4,1. The 4.1 in a 4 banger works just fine. I don't need a 6 cyl for crawling speed. And there is no labor. Ron and I will be doing all the work,

Also, I don't plan on selling her down the road. So no worries, I know what I'm doing.

Oh, and the Teralo is $1200, not $2500-3500.

There's a lot of Built 4 bangers out there. I personally have a few friends that have badass rigs. And when they went to sell them, the buyer is looking at all the mods and crawling capabilities, and that's it. So if you're geared and built strong, that's all the buyer is interested in. Not the name Rubicon. A lot of these built up rigs are stronger and geared lower than the Rubicon.

I thought you'd be going Atlas, well; good for you. Yes a built rig is a built rig, I get it trust me. I just like to have some meat left on the bone after I'm done beating the crap out of a rig, hence the rubicon value coment but if joanzie is yours for life it's a moot point.

I also get the 4 banger thing, I've just never heard of anyone complaining about extra torque and having to gear less. I think it'll be cool, that just seemed like a whole lotta coin. My brother just bought a 4 runner with exo cage, d-60 front, and a 14b rear with stacked 2.29/4.70 t-cases for 5500 for example.

I have friends in Rubi's who are re-gearing the 4.10s. It's all about preference, and individuality. I know what I can spend every month. I know what I want. I know what will work for Me. This is the best money effective way for Me to get what I want and need. Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

It seems that way because the only time you pipe up on my threads is to question everything I do. You're kind of like Everybody Loves Raymond's mom on the show. You offhandedly give a compliment while being negative. Nobody knows what's best for them financially and mechanically better than the person wanting to do the work. I do know what's best for me, and to be quite honest, I get tired of you always undermining or questioning what I'm doing. It gets old dude. I'm not the only one reading it this way either. Others are PMing asking me what the problem is....just food for thought. You come off a certain way as well..

No hard feelings..see you on the trails. Just be looking for a badass Joanzie. She will look a lot different next time we run into eachother or you hop on another one of my runs.

WTF ever, I've been out with you a few times and had a blast and never gave you shit. Maybe my tone comes off differently through text, sorry. My bad for thinking an 8.8 and a gone through front axle and t-case regear with tires and fenders sounded steep for 6200 seeing as I have three 8.8's in a shed and I'd gladly give you one to clear out some shit from my shed.

Pretty sure if I posted up what I was doing and you thought I could do it for less I might see if you were right, especially considering economic times, doubly so with the furlough. So for anyone wondering and PMing there's no problem, just a curiosity and a want to help as we all know money isnt free.

I'm glad you're doing it yourself, I think thats awesome. Tear it up.

Everything I do is brand new..nothing used. And my 8.8 comes with an ARB. The $6200 for everything I'm doing is a good deal. I forget what Ron said about what we're doing to the front end, but it's a $1000 by itself.

Look, from now on, maybe just think twice about things. That's all I'm saying. I know what I'm doing. Do you think any of my close friends; and Ron, my boyfriend for that matter, would let me spend more money than necessary? Ron owns his shop. He gets some decent breaks.

I Def don't have enough cash to do all I want to my heap. $1,527.00 in unfunded deals for this check. Think I'll get the Currie correct-link though.

I found the parts to build one for $125 for mine. Its going to be one of the next things I do. Don't really plan on screwing up my drag link because I'll go with hydro assist before or same I put 35s on it. Weird, but found a couple guys who were able to tap the stock steering box and used a refurbished PSC ram. Did the whole deal for $400 including a power steering cooler.

Since I've been sick I had plenty of time for research lol

I have also noticed that you go EVERYWHERE the locked rigs go.

For the most part, yeah. I'm not afraid to Wheel it. It's why I bought it. Luckily, everything we do is within my rigs capability. Once Lorie gets Joanzie done, she'll probably take a shot at the Hammers. And then I'll have to ride in her open seat. Lol

Just buy a new one, and get the lifetime wrap warranty. It's only $36,000.00 + Fees for a new Fully Loaded 2 door Rubicon. You've seen how good my warranty works. Lol
