Ron and I are doing the work. A Dana 44 with ARB is $2500 plus s/h/t..this Ford 8.8 with ARB is $1800, and it's a better axle. Kind of a no-brainer if you ask me. Ron and I have a good time in the garage..many hours spent there already..it'll be fun And a good learning experience for me I might add. He's eventually going to turn me into a master mechanic!

Maybe someday, it'll be The Transmission Man and The Transmission Woman lol

We need to talk about that!! Trails leaving from Holcomb Valley instead of Hana Flats.

Looking back, I wish I'd never taken off my 30s.

Exactly..I've been rolling on 31's and 33's for years..the bigger tires will help keep you off your belly a bit more..and still make wheeling a challenge. I will never go bigger than 35's..it'd make most the rocks we crawl too small. I'd rather need a strap once in a while trying to do something on 35's than never needing any help b/c everything was too easy to crawl over on 37's or bigger.

I'll probably move up to 37s in the future and make her a trailer queen, but I plan on beating the hell out of her on The Hammers and in Moab.

First of all, you actually need to make a run ..and more than twice a year. And 2nd, I'm not going anywhere you guys haven't already been.

3 or 4 with our family. I squeeze in a few more day runs here and there. It's just so damn hard to find the time with this schedule. But since I'm making more money, I shouldn't complain too much. Lol.

Last weekend was your off weekend but you couldn't make it. The July 26th run in BB isn't one you can make and the next one in August doesn't work for you either. So, then we're into Sept..

She did talk shit on people with 35+ inch tires and acted like she was content with 33s. She also said she never wanted to do a 8.8 rear bc it would require "so much work"..... And she talked trash on NP231 4:1low range gear sets bc of what other people told her.... Things sure have changed, but I think its for the better..... Sounds like someone stopped drinking "kool-aid" from money hungry shops and start listening to people who wheel those parts.... I'm pretty sure you've learned that recently and I think Ron has a lot to do with it. Still can't believe that guy quoted you $8k to swap in an atlas 2 t-case.

You missed it Rob. That was the kettle (me) calling the pot (you) black.

My jeep hasn't even seen a paved road with a bit of dust on it for MONTHS let alone actually been off road.

Matter of fact, I would be willing to bet you put more miles on your jeep off road than I have put on my jeep on road this entire year.

You're off a bit on a few things Kenny, but that's OK. I don't have the desire or energy to explain anything more about why or what I'm doing with my rig. My friends have been in the loop the whole time..they get it. And I am doing what I've been wanting to do from the getgo.

Hey Lori

Can you splain to me why some folks just want to get all over you just because YOU are building YOUR jeep stronger the way YOU want it after YOU have wheeled the crap out of it and after YOU have spent a LOT of time figuring out what YOU want?

Did I miss something?

I've been on a few runs with you and pretty much the only thing you and your jeep did is conquer obstacles that me and my jeep couldn't. I kind of figured you knew what you were doing.
