Hey Lorie, Ya I did not mean to hijack Stan's thread either.
I was following your thread here, I must have missed the CB run on the 9th. I presume this is Feb 9th??
Where is the meet, time, and other info, if you don't mind repeating.

Thanks.

Joe.

No worries! It's really easy to hijack and I try to be aware of when it's happening b/c I don't like it when it happens to me

I don't think I actually posted info..we all were just talking about it. It's not a run I'm leading this time. It's actully being lead by my friend at MJR. Here's the link: Trail Run Do R Die II - Cougar Buttes

I'll be leaving Ventura at 0600 to get there by 0930. Let me now if you have more questions...be great to meet you!

You know what though? I wasn't the least uncomfortable on any of the stuff we did on Monday. The spotting was that good. Those guys really know their way around out there. Can't wait to do it without them and get lost. Lol

I think I could get us through Bullfrog and Cakewalk. They're pretty well marked. And that little mountain range they wind through isn't that big. Just head Southwest and you'll hit Old Woman Springs Road eventually. Lol

If only...someone were to invent a device that could help us through these trails. So, when we do get lost we would knew where she (sorry, I mean "we") need to go to correct our course.

Geri has been using Apple Maps on her IPad and it rocks for trails. I just may pitch my garmin.

It's on my list..but now that I'm pinching every penny for this Atlas, I won't be buying anything anytime soon. Going to leave it up to my boys to take care of us!

Bob, that's a good alternative, but how often do you lose signal out on the trails? And how does that workout when you do lose the signal? Both Vanessa and I have an iPhone and she has an iPad too but we haven’t used it with that new App.

Bernie..if nothing else, get what you have up and set so we can plug in coords to get us back from wall street to phillips loop without missing it and ending up on mule canyon! I want to start running phillips more..maybe like a different way to the mines instead of doran or odessa. It's actually a really neat trail wth steps..and color.

And when all else fails, just drive in ever increasing circles. We may circumnavigate the globe and end up right where we started, but it should make for a fun ride. Lol
