I've been running all morning and day; since 7am, so I come home to relax for a minute after my bike ride; turn on the TV for background noise, and what's on? John Wayne! And all afternoon. Now, I'm out of the shower..and I'm thinking COUCH! I earned a lazy rest of the day right? I love my John Wayne movies..

Lemme know about any trips.. The jeep is getting bored!

I am picking up a new MTR tomorrow. I couldn't believe anybody had them in stock.

I really would like to come down for Big Bear trip. Our Jeep club has a trailer I can use. Just need a place to keep it safe while out with the Jeep.

Lucky on the tire! Wow

As for things being safe in Big Bear or Calico; I've been camping these spots for years. I leave everything and I'm in a tent as well. There's never been 1 time where anyone has messed with anyone else's stuff. We're going to be camped in Holcomb Creek campground. There is a camp host there as well. I don't think you need to worry about it. The date for Big Bear is Sept 20th weekend. Hope you'll come. It'd be great to meet you..and you'll be able to meet some of my friends who are planning the Rubicon with me for next year.

Rubicon Trail August 9th-11th 2014 - JeepForum.com
Did the last Moab trip with some of these folks from across the country and that was one of the coolest wheelin trips to date for me

They had 4 in stock wish I had the money to buy all 4. September is to soon unless I win the lottery. Would like to get a couple of others from up here to come down and do something like you are for the Rubicon. Basically spend 3-5 days doing multiple trails i.e. Big Bear, Calico, Miller and what ever else.

Good plan..but if ya want to do BB and not be in the snow (I personally don't do snow or at least definitely won't camp in it), you guys need to make it down by Oct. Also, Miller will be closing for the season in Nov sometime. You have the JV area and Cougar Buttes as well. There's enough here to keep you busy on the trails for days..
