I'm so glad to hear things went well and they sprung you early. Just being in your own home and bed will help you begin healing faster. Be sure you still follow the Dr.'s orders and take it easy

Ok, that works, as long as we follow what the doctor said. I thought I heard Lisa mentioning early April as to when your doctor said your back would be ready for the rocks.

Yippie, Calico again but both canyons in one loop so I can run it. I missed out on the hard one because I had to leave.

March 22-24th is a big Meet & Greet, maybe you can aim for that to be your maiden voyage after healing up. I know we're planning on going on that run.

I don't think she will wait till the end of March to go wheeling. By Christmas she'll be pacing like a caged animal. Hahaha

That's right Parker, it's too bad we weren't there for longer. However, I see a future Ventura beach weekend coming perhaps next summer. Vanessa said she'd like to return with warmer weather or at least when it's not raining. We'll let you guys know and we'll make it a beach party.

I think you guys should stay at Emma Wood in your RV. It's right on the water and a couple miles from my place. We can stay at the beach or do whatever you want. First come first serve right now with plenty of room. Fires always allowed All us locals are just minutes away so we can really do whatever we like! Maybe January? Although, my birthday is fast approaching Dec 21st !

December is all booked up for us and January may be good depending on how December treats us $$. However, my birthday is on February 18th. Maybe that would be far enough from the holidays that most of us have had a chance to recover from it. This year my birthday falls on Presidents Day. I get my birthday off from work this year!!

Mine is January 18th, past few years it was on Martin Luther King Holiday so I got it off too.

Back when I was a young kid (perhaps 10 to 15 years ago) and I first realized my birthday aligned with George Washington's Birthday I felt so special and honored.

I've cut my meds back to Ibuprophen only. I don't like taking stuff. I am going to try and walk around a little bit..maybe to go get a lotto ticket or something. Doctor encourages it (just so nobody starts lecturing me!) I can tell ya, it feels better than it did before the surgery!

That is really good to hear. So you showed us what they took out, do you know what they put in? Plates, artificial disk?

Good luck on the lotto ticket. You certainly deserve it.

I believe there was enough of my disk left over. What I posted was the "crabmeat" (as the doctor described it) inside.

Nice huh?

LOL no not really. Pretty gross and something I hope I never have to go through.

You know how some people can't stand fingernails on a chalk board? That is kind of what the thought of back surgery does to me.

Your a tuff one aren't you? When my Back went out I was a hurtin cowboy. They never did the surgery just 7 shots of steroids in the spine. You sound like you'll be rockin that jeeps new parts real soon. Don't think I will ever look at crab meat in the same way ever again. Lol
