Damn Art! I WANT A JUGGY!!

Turns out I need a new water pump, radiator, ball joints and I have a dent the size of Mars in my exhaust..Catback is on the list as well. There goes that $500 4 Wheel Parts Promo Card. ..plus some.

Who claims the ball joints are bad? What happened to the radiator? If the cat doesn't rattle and it still runs fine leave it alone for the time being. If the steering is funky you most likely bend either the tierod or the drag link, been there done that more than a few times.

Gave my baby some love, can anybody tell what got added?

Put it up on the rack today. A lot of movement in the joints. They're worn..was told to keep my eyes on them months ago. Radiator's been leaking for months now..can clearly see it in the grill and on the ground and steering is OK. Tie rod is straight (enough). The exhaust is original stock POS and sounds like $hit...looks like $hit with the dent. Could also be causing back up pressure? Not an emergency, but on my list of things to do Soon.

Guy didn't charge me a dime for 2 hours (friend) and if need be, will give me parts at his cost. He's always been more than fair on labor. Best deal I'll get here not doing all the work myself..which I can't do.

More like a girdle, something I want to try.
You push the front axle hard enough the diff housing starts opening up a bit. Making the front ARB leak air/ the compressor cycle. You can also tell this is the case if the diff cover bolts keep working loose

You know how it is what Joanzie wants and what Joanzie needs, Joanzie gets.
You wheel hard stuff wears and breaks. That's where big Jeeps are nice, hold up much better to the abuse. My lil Jeep caught on fire some years ago, because a stock bolt in the floor board had punched a hole in the top of the muffler. Ripped the burning crap out tossed it stomped it out and went wheeling, got to love life. Welded the hole shut a couple a months later

I wheel her like a drug addict needs a hit every hour, wheel her hard enough to make people wonder "How I did that, drive her hours one way to get there, and daily for work..my Joanzie needs to be taken care of.

I need a fire ext. And paint. She needs some touch up love tomorrow too.

The race lines are pretty nice. I would really like to get 17" Walker Evans my next tire change so I have the option of going bigger than 35s...which I know I'll eventually do.

Art I am trying really hard to keep the plastic in my wallet. Got a daughter in college. Plus "want" is a LOT different than "need" Heck at this point with the minimal wheeling I have done I should just sell the jeep.

Yep, those are nice too. I could be forced to live with W.E. rims.

No I didn't, but a good customer did. We Built his JKu with long arm, coil overs and 37s, he made it up with no winch, help or damage.

You too. I played on it but it's not worth the risk of busting $hit and not being able to drive home and work. If I had 2 rigs and a trailer, no problem. But can't afford to bust it on something like the GK and then have to pay to get it home plus rent a car on top of paying for fixing it. Not too smart..and not worth the risk.

Yep, those are nice too. I could be forced to live with W.E. rims.

Years of wear and tear Rich..didn't happen overnight and for what I like to primarily wheel and how often, she's going to need replacements. No parts last forever. None of it needs to be done yesterday but I can plainly see it needs to be replaced. Why wait until I possibly break down on a trail? I'll fix it while she's still running...and on an RDO Monday. Get to borrow a Jeep for the day while he works on it. Could be worse. AND, a lot of it will go on that 4 Wheel Promo Card I won. Could be a lot worse.

Got my transfer case rod shifter fixed permanently yesterday...and at no charge b/c he felt bad for pulling a no show/no call on our last appt. Also got about 10 other little things done, including getting my back lic plate bolted flat to my skid. That sucker isn't coming off anymore! No more zip ties LOL

I'll get my new parts installed the 13th and be good to go for the weekend of the 17th. Looks like we're wheeling Cougar Buttes. Have a few from MJR who want to wheel the 18th and Art is free the 19th...so looking for a few who want to get out there early Saturday, set up camp, wheel Saturday and camp that night then wheel Sunday. It's a holiday weekend..and I'm off that Monday even though it's not my RDO Monday.

Hmmm very interesting and tempting...except I would guess the coil overs would be more than what I would want to spend.

Hey what trails are you running that weekend? I've been wanting to go wheel there for sometime. I am off Friday jan 17 and Sunday jan 19, sounds like maybe I can meet y'all on the 19.

I am heading to LV tomorrow for the weekend so I will have to wait to confirm till I get back. You never really know what's gonna happen in LV till you check your phone on the return home....

Have you checked out Metal Cloaks 6-pak shocks? It's a "cheaper" alternative to coilovers, I'm considering them myself down the road.

Just do it right the first time B. It's less expensive than doing it again later.
