I told Mike about the dates, he's going to see if he has anything on the calendar. If he does and can't make it I may just come down for the day, my Leo dog is always up for a road trip

I hope Mike can make it..and I Love dogs, so if he can't, Leo will do! It'll be great to finally meet you guys! Are you planning on bringing the bean bag game?

So our date is the weekiend of Jan 11th for others who'd like to come out and spend the weekend/day at Ventura's gorgeous beach!

Yes, I'll be sure Mike gets it out for me

Leo isn't really a dog, he's more like a person in a dog's body. Lol He loves the beach, so he may be going no matter what.

Wow, sounds like you had an angel on your shoulder for sure.

My neighbor is 50, she is a hardcore crossfit addict. Last year she stepped in a hole at work and tweaked her back, after a couple weeks she couldn't even get out of bed. After multiple Dr. appt.'s, hassles with workers comp and her insurance she had Surgery this past August.

When they went in to do the disc fusion for her herniated disc they discovered her back was actually broken. The MRI tech and Dr. missed it on the MRI. They put plates and screws in and after 1 week in the hospital she came home.

I saw her yesterday and she's doing great, the Dr. said he couldn't believe she made it 9 months without knowing and was able to function. Her being in great physical shape carried her through and has really made a difference in her recovery.

She can't work out until February and she's going crazy, she must walk 20 times around the block a day. Lol

WOW! See, us fitness finatics have such a high tolerance for pain! Glad she's finally doing better! I have to laugh though because I asked my doctor today if I could start lifting again; just upper body, no bending and lighter weights. I thought he was going to kill me! No bike riding either he says. It's Very hard to follow that after working out so religiously since high school...not to mention, before I got this job I dislike so much, I was self employed as a mobile personal trainer for 15+ years...so it's definitely a shock to the system not to work out. Almost as hard as not wheeling...Almost. I'm DYING not wheeling right now. I've Never gone this long EVER.

Patience Grasshopper.....Lol. Remember, your healing no matter how good you feel. Time passes quickly and you'll be back at it before you know it.

I went back to the gym 5 days after knee surgery, I never went to physical therapy instead I just met my trainer. I have an appointment next Tuesday and should be released to work out again........good thing since I haven't stopped

The one thing I really miss is dead lifts, I actually had a dream a couple weeks ago that I got to do them. It was a bad dream though since I could only use PVC pipe, lol. I told David and he laughed, said I'm the only client he has that dreams of deadlifts

My plan is to start running again in January, Leo will be happy about that.

I had arthroscopic surgery for a torn meniscus, not back surgery! You had some major damage repaired, mine was a scrape compared to that. I do admit I had a couple rough days from going too soon.

I just worked upper body and core work, nothing involving my knee until I was 2 weeks post surgery. My office is up stairs and that was harder than anything, I still feel weak going down them.

I've got to gain all my leg strength back before wakeboard season, I'm getting old and don't have too many more left. Lol

My dad say's I just don't think right, I'm beginning to agree with him

Lake Nacimiento is our regular spot during the summer, we may have to arrange something.

OOOOoooohhh Lorie I haven't been in this forum for a while & just discovered thread! OMG, so you've been through Hell but at least now your stitches are out right? How are you doing? You sound like your old self, I wish you a full & complete surgery!

I could have done without seeing your "crabmeat" though.

Thanks so much Jerry! I am doing much better. I can't even begin to describe the pain before my surgery. Crazy..but I had an excellent doctor and he's still taking really good care of me. He was THE BEST! 30+ years..fixed me right up. I'm healing up, still swollen and put myself back on Ibuprophen but that's it. I should be good to go wheeling and camping come March! I may be numb for a year or so though. But that's OK..as long as I can go wheeling, I'm great!

And I thought it looked more like chicken at the chinese buffet. LOL

So I got a killer deal on this skid..and my good buddy painted it for me as a surprise! So the next time I'm standing my front tires up in the air like I did in Calico, I'll officially be saying hello

Yes, a weekend of wheeling has to be sacrificed. But it's for a good cause, drinking cold beer and hanging out on the water can be justified. Think of its an R&R weekend for the Jeep, and the driver

Not that you needed anymore reason to get the front end in the air, but I'm sure you will use this as an excuse. Lol

I have a Christmas bonus coming, I think it's going to Dennis for my skids.

When the guys did the alignment last week they told me I better cover up the underside before going too much. I guess they just repaired a Jeep that tore up his oil pan and did some other damage.

Like a well baby checkup, better to prevent problems than have to fix them.

And yea..I always tell new wheelers..at the very least; an oil pan skid, decent sliders and if it's older, upgrade at least the tie rod. They bend like toothpicks.

Most people there had never had it, my secret bottle wasn't very secret Luckily I had my share before it was discovered.

I had quite a few offers to drive me home, I think it was due to the fact they want to drive my Jeep, haha.

I switched to coffee and there were a few disappointed friends

LOL Oh you know it was only b/c they wanted to drive your Jeep!

Isn't it funny when you add something or mod something out, you look at your Jeep and wonder how in the world you drove it all this time without what you just added? It's a amzaing what a little black Satin paint will do on your axles, frame and wheel wells, some added night run trail lights and a tummy tuck. I've decided I'll be painting my grill black as well.
