I just read the past couple pages to catch up....wow!! You people need to get out in the rocks and get rid of the pent up energy you got going.

Haha, it's like my Mocha dog when he's cooped up to long. He just runs in circles bitting at his tail

Hey Rob, that fire isn't close to you is it? I just heard about it on the news and I'm not familiar with your area so wasn't sure.

My Jeep is 1 today, I can't believe this year went by so quickly.

I went to my Dads yesterday and little green Jeep looks amazing again The only sad thing is Dad is talking about selling it. He's taken a hit on his retirement and work slowed down so he's stressing about money. I'm hoping he changes his mind, but sometimes we have to look at the bigger picture.

Nah, the fire is down in the river bottom, miles from my house. I say let it burn out the homeless who probably started it, just keep it off the homes in the surrounding area. It happens a couple of times a year. No big deal.

And yes, pent up energy. I've got a little bit of that. 6 days and a wake up. WooHoo!!!

Sorry about Dad and his Jeep. Tell him We All said keep it. The money he gets won't make that much of a difference in his life. But the Jeep does.

Lets Wheel!!!

Rob, I'm glad to hear your place is safe and sound. The Santa Ana winds kicked up big here last night. I can only imagine how bad it was your way. 3 am the security light outside my bedroom window kept coming on, kept waking me up

This is the most current one, it's after the first repair when it was dropped. You can see the hood was still messed up.

He did ask me to come over and take some good ones for him so I'll be doing that soon.

That is pretty sweet. I love CJ5s. That was the first jeep I lusted for 34 years ago. Finally satisfied my desires with my current TJ.

He found this one in his neighbors junk pile. Built it from the frame up and kept as much stock as possible. It drives like a tank with the steering, haha. But it's so cool!!!

Have you ever driven a tank? I have. And even the old MB military Jeeps rode like a Cadillac compared to a tank. Although the M-60 main battle tank, and the M-113 APC could out turn them. With lateral track control, we used to spin them in circles, making the guys standing up in the APC's open hatch nauseous. Lol. Good Times!!!

You've got me beat. I've only lost about 10 pounds. And now my scale's busted. Guess it couldn't take my fat butt hopping on it everyday. Lol. I'll pick up another on payday. But I'm nowhere near done. So, yeah...

Very cool Bernie. Probably not enough time now to do it before Calico but that would go a long way towards some rear corner guards. Maybe some round LED tail lights? Do you have a cage like Lori's. How about an ARB recovery kit with snatch block etc...? That would just about cover some Poison Spyder hood louvers. Rock lights tucked up under the wheel wells? Have Stan wire/plumb in a separate wind shield washer pump and point the nozzles forward and to the sides and to the rear? Im sure your friends would all appreciate that Upgraded speakers? All weather floor mats? Tuffy security box or glove box door? HID headlights? Synthetic winch rope? Or maybe just use it towards a full service, oil filter change, new belt, diff oil, brakes etc... Do you have diff covers yet?

So there are a few ideas for you to get you thinking.

No I did not make any new friends and I may have lost a few old ones. Seems most people sleep at thst time and have no interest in talking on the phone.

Well...looks like I'll be furloughed for sure now. Been trying to figure out where I can cut back. FOOD. That's the only place left. Stock in P & J wll be going up within a couple weeks. I see a lot of grape, strawberry and raspberry jelly coming my way..on whole wheat of course I'm thinking Skippy taste better than Jiff too. Hopefully they sell Lite.

I will go without food before I go without wheeling. I may be forced to do Miller a bit more this summer as opposed to BB or anywhere else. My paycheck is taking a 20% hit. Will last until Sept 30th.

On a happier note and sort of related..I was thinking another party..either here at the beach or somewhere within an hour or two..thoughts? I was thinking April timeframe.

I'll be off the weekend of April 20-21. I would love to come hang out at the Beach with you then. I'll bring Steaks. I'd Hate to see you starve.

I figure Miller will be opening up shortly after that, and I love just putting around all the local trails out there anyways, so yeah, let's do this.

There are some good ideas here Rich thanks. I like the rock lights, roll cage and headlight.

Because you had to work through my last party, I am going to set the date for your weekend off Rob. You're not going to miss another one. I need to put some thought into where..esp if people want to camp. There's technically no tent camping at Emma..we should go elsewhere. Ideas anyone? Ya Know.......we could just do Gorman...the party is more for hanging out with friends than it is any serious wheeling..and we'll be in the park to go putt around some easy stuff and practice area...fires are allowed, gas and food right there etc....whatcha think? We can feel free to sit around and /or wheel all weekend..go hang another flag on Quails Pass in honor of my friend..

I would say we could all crash at your place, but if there's more than three of us, there's not enough floor space. Lol. HV sounds Great!!!
