Let another rover save their ass. GRRR!!!!!!

Guy in my platoon used to work for land rover. When I explained how our transfercases worked he didn't understand that I can put mine in two wheel drive. Go figure, someone asked if land rovers or jeeps were better, I said for what I do you can't buy another mass produced factory equipped vehicle that could come close. His argument was the traction control works as good as lockers, my rebuttle was they brake individual wheels to "gain" traction, and sometimes you need to have wheel spin to climb obstacles. He kinda shut up after that and now when I start talking jeeps with another buddy in my platoon he has to say something about land rovers. I want to take him out to Calico and show him how my stock rubi goes everywhere I want to out there, but we rarely get time off and he's better off spending time with his family.

All I can really say about rover owners is this, "Die Yuppie Scum!!!". Lol.

Oh yeah, quick history lesson. The first couple of years of Land Rovers existence, they were built on CJ-2B chassis. Then they went and screwed everything up by building their own. Lesson over. Lol

I know someone that ownes a land rover, an older one I think. Although it is the son of a good longstanding business acquaintance. I have invited him a few times to come wheel with us but he hasn't. The last time we were going out in March to Calico he went to TDS instead. His biggest thing about his LR that sets him apart is the floating axles, which he welded his rear axle together to make it a locked axle. When driving in the streets he just takes out one axle shaft out so he doesn't drive on pavement locked in the rear.

Last time his father told me about how great the LR is, I asked him to wheel with us and told him to look us up in YouTube to see the kind of wheeling we do and to come out with us to show us how good the LR is....still waiting to hear from him.

Yeah. I guess I'm just a Jeep Guy. I don't care about toyotas, land rovers, fords, or chevies. They just don't do it for me. I'm always at my happiest in my Jeep, wheeling with my friends.

Yep. I was there. Did you come by? Did you ask for me? You'd be surprised at how many people come by and don't ask for me. Their buying experience becomes a long drawn out process then. With me, it's quick and easy. Lol

Yeah, I was there. I hate the people I work with. Do you have any idea what kind of car the wife would like? Just let me know when you want to come in here on the forum and we will set up an appointment for you.

Sorry to hear that. And it's only Tuesday. Do the job, and move on. Every day gone is one day closer to wheeling. And seeing my smiling face at camp.

We've all seen how I drive... I'm easy on the go pedal, I let the lockers, suspension, rails, and gearing work for me.

Yeah, those Rubis really do the trick. I need lockers. But I need to sell a few more cars to make that happen. So for now, I'll just leap from boulder to boulder, keeping a traction tire in contact with something at all times. Lol

When I finally went lockers in my K5 I was amazed at the difference. And it changed my driving style like crazy.

I hate when people show up 10 minutes before closing, with a ridiculous offer that I know won't buy the Jeep. And still want to try. $36,260.00 divided by 72 is $503.61, not $350.00. And that's not even including tax & license, or interest. And they don't want to put any money down. My partner is writing it up, because I couldn't stop laughing at them. Oh well, another long night. At least I've already got one out today. Lol

And the 4.1 T case keeps crawling slow and damage to a minimum.
