That is an awesome Jeep, I wish Mike and I could find something similar.

Would you be selling Joanzie if JP was willing to work with you? If so that would put a good dent in the balance on the Rubi.

Amanda and I had a garage sale yesterday and made $400. for Caleb's Disney World trip. When we bought their house the guy left a bunch of furniture, dishes and crap there. Who knew his junk could pay off for us, lol.

Ya, that's completely understandable. I cried when I sold my 4-runner, lol. It was my first brand new car, bought it in 87 and drove it 13 years. It had 250,000 miles without any work except a clutch replacement. It looked brand new inside and out, sold it in 1 hour for $5,000.

I think if the new JKU wasn't sitting in the driveway the day my TJ drove off I would have cried again. I was just so excited about the new Jeep it was later and even now, that I'm sorry I sold it.

I've always gotten very attached to my vehicles, most people don't understand and think it's silly. Of course most of them haven't owned a Jeep

Yup

Mike even made the comment a few weeks ago that if I sold my car I would have a nice chunk of money for another Jeep. I think the look I gave him scared him, he immediately said he was joking

After selling cars for a while, they all just become iron, rubber, and glass. It's hard to have that much of an attachment to something that's just going to depreciate over time. Besides, newer is better. That's why I got divorced, her book value went down. Lol

Hmm, I better hope my value doesn't drop then. Lol

I better get to the grocery store, I need to be sure and make Mike a nice dinner so he keeps me around

It was a joke. Lol. Just needed to stir the pot this morning. Lol. And true classics only gain value over time. It's just weeding through the clunkers to find that diamond in the rough that gets tedious.

So several of the trucks we took in trade yesterday were broken into overnight. The stereos and tow packages were stolen, and the trucks damaged in the process. I'm glad they weren't my deals, because they will deduct the repair costs from the gross of the deal, and the sales guys will take a hit. Instead of filing an insurance claim. How messed up is that?

I bought my K5, 8 years ago and it only had 72k original miles. I abused it for 2 years then I started rebuilding it. It wasn't drivable for a good 3 years and everyone asked if I was going to sell it and I won't. I just can't get rid of it with all the time sweat and a lil bit if blood I've invested in it. I even felt bad buying my jeep bc to the full size blazer/pickup crowd its so frowned upon lol. But the K5 would be a bitch to wheel out here, and 6 mpg really sucks lol.

At least it wasn't the HHR that I took in trade. So I'm not losing anything. Thank God.

I know you were
Someday we will finish the 68 GTO we have and I know it will be worth some money. My mom purchased it new in 68 and gave it to me when I graduated HS. The engine has been completely rebuilt and it's just the cosmetic work that needs done now. Problem is that's going to be about $20,000 to do it right.

That' is ridiculous!! I can't believe that can even do that legally, it's the dealerships responsibility for not having the vehicle secure. And if they were it most definitely should be an insurance claim. That just sucks

Well it now looks like they may make it an insurance issue, but I bet the sales guys still get screwed. They filed a Police report, so now there's a paper trail at least.

That sounds illegal..and crappy about you guys taking any sort of hit.

Went and saw my great aunt today..pretty crappy outside and all I can think about is next weekend. Have started pulling stuff into my living room so I can look at it for a few days before I pack it into my rig.

Yeah the weather sucks up here too. And I loaned my tent to my stepson last weekend, and had to call him today to tell him I need it back. Fucking kids. Lol. Next weekend cannot get here soon enough!!!

It's going okay I guess. She's really trying to make me happy. And that's no easy feat. Lol.
And Yep. Unless she finds a job this week, she'll be there. She just got her California ID card today. I guess none of the temp agencies will place you without one. So I paid for it.

Wow, OK.

4 days and a wake up. By tomorrow, everything will be sitting in my tiny living room; waiting for rig pack up. Buster is starting to show signs of depression already..poor thing.

Can't say I blame Buster. Lol. He's such a good kitty. Not destroying the house every time you leave for a couple of days.

Thought I would share the love fest I am in the middle of.

Some of you already know Pepito (our white Havaneses) but Bruce is our newest member, Danny named him Bruce. Bruce is a 9 week boxer puppy.

Was it foggy down there today? It was 71 and beautiful here. Got a little yard work done, 75% of the house cleaned, went to Marshalls and wandered the isles and grocery shopped. I was looking for excuses to not finish the house or laundry. Lol

Whenever Mike and I get a suitcase out Leo instantly starts pouting. I swear that dog knows we're leaving and acts like a big baby. When my house sitter comes over to pick up the key he ignores me and loves on her, lol. Animals are so damn smart its scary.
