I might be in assuming I get my rails on by then and you think I can make it on at least some of the stuff. Will bypass some of the harder stuff. I already have Rubi rails (not installed yet), ACE Rock Rails on their way.
I'm probably getting an RK 2.5" lift in the next few months, but probably won't have it by then.
It's looking like I'm not going to make it to this.
I ordered my lift and parts (shocks, front driveshaft), but it is highly unlikely that it will arrive and be installed by next weekend. They're also going to put on my rails when they do the lift (not charging me extra or I'd do it myself).
So I'm going to hold out until then. I'll probably be ready in 2 - 3 weeks.
Would you guys have any interest in doing Last Chance Canyon and Nightmare Gulch on the 28th? Nightmare Gulch closes at the end of January and won't open again until July.

Not sure yet...I am in, Coops in, you Maybe? Jpi1 Maybe?...Jeff, You in? Weather should be nice, looking up the mountain I saw some white, but I dont think they got much snow...which trail doesnt matter much to me...all good. I think Coop wants to run 3N10...
Well....John Bull is a great trail that is for the most part not too bad, but where its bad its bad. A small section of boulders that are tricky to navigate. The "Guide to backroads & 4 wheel drive trails says "Lockers and very high ground clearance required" With that said, It wouldnt be the best option for beginners or lightly modified Jeeps. I would lean toward changing trails to accomodate more people coming out. In fact, if we still wheeled in Big Bear, we could show you the rough part without committing to doing the trail. I didnt call this run, so I will see what Coop wants to do.
hi Noob here I just got a 09 x I wanted to see if I could maybe join you all this weekend I have 32s and a 2.5 lift please let me know
You dont have a profile to view, but I am guessing no locker? The trail would be tough with not too much lift and no lockers, others will tell you they have done it. My advice would be to warm up on other trails before attempting this one...its not going anywhere and there are plenty of trails.
How do you guys think I will fare on John bull?
I have a 3" lift, 32" tires, front and rear lockers, no tummy tuck. I am still a beginner I have only been on 3 medium rated trails
You have a well equipped jeep for someone calling themselves a beginner...both axles locked...Nice! I am locked in the rear, and doing the front soon. You have the equipment, but if you have been on Medium trails this will be a big step up.
I am fine with switching to cleghorn or whatever you guys want to do.
I'm even fine with doing John bull if you guys think I will be fine!
Yeah I have a lot of equipment for a beginner because I have been researching for a long time and saving up for this build so I wanted to do everything right the first time. Ive only owned the jeep for about 9 months and it's only been lifted for 6 months. Lockers just went on a month ago along with a regear to 4.10
