Want to Break in my 07'

Hello all-

Anyone interested in a drive this weekend? Maybe Main Divide? Just bought my Jeep and itching to take it out.

Yes I have seen the obstacle. It was too much to tackle that day, I was alone.... Not that I would have tried if I had help but I would have thought about it... Haha. The official name is Bloody Jersey Hill.

Main Divide from my side in OC is just all fire roads. Wildomar is mildly fun but not challenging except for "bad idea". It's kind of like a large legal version of Holy Jim.... It's fun for a shakedown run.

I'm down, that area is pretty strict about staying on the road. Holy Jim got worse too. My buddy saw rangers pull people out at gun point and take their trucks! If you want a easy to moderate run, cleghorn off the 15 is always a good time. It has plenty of run offs and last time I was there I got myself in quite the pickle.

I live less than 5 minutes from there and have gotten off the road quite a few times.... If they were pulled out at gunpoi t they must have had other legal troubles going on..... If you go up about 1.75 miles there is a hill going to the left or the creek bed to the right these two areas can be fun. The biggest way to get unwanted attention is to drive the road like its the Indy500. I had almost been hit on a few occasions in my old Jeepster.

"Bad Idea" came from the giant rock spray painted "bad idea" next to the trail head. It looks nutty I chickened out twice!

Cleghorn is significantly better in all aspects except its further out. Two completely different runs.

Even calling is not reliable... Last time I went there I called before, they said it was open, the web site said closed. I was driving out the road and saw a ranger and asked if the ohv area was open he said he just locked the gate because it looked like it was going to rain..... And it had not rained for at least 2 weeks prior to that.

I went up there last summer with a friend and we walked Bad Idea and there was a Cherokee stuck in the middle. Looked like it had rolled down from the top. There were drivers licenses and all kinds of personal stuff inside. You couldn't get by so if it is still up there then you might have to get a little creative.

Last time I was there in November there was not any large abandoned trail obstacles. I would like to go out with a group and give it a go.
