What do you take camping??

I saw this on another forum and haven't seen anything like it here.

Soo let's hear it!? When you go camping in your jeeps what do you take camping with you? Let's face it... These things are extremely limited on space so what are the things/equipment have you tried? What's good, what's failed miserably, what would you try differently?

I'm no where new to going camping but since I bought my toyhauler I haven't slept in a tent in YEARS!

I'm starting a list of camping chit to buy but there's sooooo many options out there.

Let's hear it!?

Most useful thing I've ever taken camping is a tarp. Lol I was in bb last weekend and lets just say I hadn't seen it pour like that in a while. And my top was off. I now always leave one in there!!! Lesson learned.

I like using all soft sided containers, even my ice chests are the AO Coolers. I would rather have multiple soft containers than a few large rigid boxes. If you travel w/o a top they make some nice water proof duffels for rafting and such

Hey Chuck......are you going to try to make that Big Bear run in a couple weeks (Sat 8/23)? It looks like there is going to be a good turn out for this one.

Hahah I'm surprised there isn't one already!

Looking for "space saving" jeep camping tips really.... I'm not used to packing lite!

This is how I "camp", turn on the AC, slap on a DVD for the kid at nite, and set the t-stat @65 I case it gets to cold. Need a cold beer? Look in the fridge!

Here's my list. I have a tent trailer, so everything else (bed, sheets, etc) are already in there. This was my list for the M&G last week.

Tablet + GPS
Pot luck items
Deodorant
Toothpaste + brush
Pillow
Milk
Cereal
soda
coffee cups
Sandwich meat, bread, cheese, mustard
Water
snacks
sodas
beer
chairs
trash bags

I save the list and will just edit it for the next trip. Someone else mentioned dish soap. I usually have hand soap since places like Hanna Flats have vault toilets with no sink, but there's usually a water fountain next to the camp site. You could also use the dish soap.
