Wheeling in January

Who wants to go? I am going to cali like I do every xmas from IL. I am going to tow out the jeep . I want to do some wheeling. I will leave probably on the 10th of JAN to go back to IL. I will be leaving IL like DEC 15th ish- I am going to stop in AZ to do some wheeling maybe even moab too. I was born in poway raised in Ramona and Temec. So right on the boarder of san diego country riverside country. Again I don't mind drivin when out there to wheel!! I have figured it is going to be about 1000 bucks in gas for the total trip lol truck and jeep.

Just did map quest on it 35 hours out there to cali. I did it in 25 in the mustang no stoppin but it will be a 2 day trip to AZ going wheeling there then from there to Socal is another 5 hours to my buddies door. Will be so worth it!

Lets do it. I am game. I would like to get like 2-3 days in.
Plan--
Stoppin in AZ for 4 days would love to wheel 2 of them.
Cali will be there for almost 4 weeks. After the 28th of DEC I am free to wheel when I please before that got the family thing to do.
Then going back thru AZ maybe to wheel another day Then home.
I would run thru moab but nobody wants to wheel moab in the snow.

Instead of marsailes drive the extra hour with me and I have to do a shake down at the badlands before I go out west.

I wish my jeep was capable of that sort of thing.

Maybe a Big Bear run is in order

Damn I forgot about snow, never wheeled in it. (And open diffs!!)

The desert has some good trails though, pinyon mountain is sick, the squeeze and heart attack hill are there, along with some other fun stuff. I've never seen so much broken glass then on that trail lol.

Ocotillo wells is fun for a little bit. Not much fun if you have a 4 cyl though. Blowsand hill is fun twice if you have a 4.0 lol. There are a few rock crawling places there if you know how to find them.

But you can watch all the sand rails and buggies do crazy jumps at shell reef I guess lol.
