That would be fun. I'm not even sure I'd want to do Gold Mtn in the snow though.

I will be making this run with another group. Will will probably be about an hour in back of you. So no rush but if something happens help will be coming soon..
We are running channel 25 so call out if needed, and massive well get to meet up.
Have fun and be safe.

Are you guys running normal direction (east to west) or the way we are backwards? (west to east)

Plan is of right now (which might change) is gold mountain to John Bull. Not really sure if that is the same direction as you. Let me know. Maybe we'll go backwards too. Think there's only going to be three rigs in our group, So not much traffic if we come head to head

Running GM and them JB makes for a good run and that is the normal direction to run it. We would be coming the opposite way (just for a change) so we may see you. You are right, not much problem running into each other except at the beginning We will be on CH 37 so maybe we can make contact...

Ok, cool. We'll look out for you guys. What time are you starting Gold Mtn? As of now, we have 6. Looks like JK's and TJ's will be equally represented in our group.

You will be running it the opposite (normal) way. We will probably bump into you near the beginning or so.

So is JB harder forwards or backwards? (Or is it normal or opposite?) LOL. Somehow I missed this run until today. I bent some stuff on "the rock that Jenn can't climb" at Holcomb that merits inspection before I can bash it up more. Which means I need to persuade my mechanic to give up Happy Hour tonight. Rick can you PM me your #? I'll text you if we can make it.

IMO JB is easier backwards than forward. Its good either way. Just a couple pucker moments coming down some of the those rocks at the gatekeeper.

Did you bend your tie rod?

No. Tranny skid and cross member crunched- which on a 2 door JK then hits the exhaust pipe. Rattling up a storm and probably caused an exhaust leak. Trying to be gentle until we can find a fix. Not easy on JB. Took out my steering stabilizer too. Again.

Getting his bass on so we can sell it....my father in-law in an acoustics engineer. Designed the sub to fit into the rear toolbox area in a JK. Needless to say Elvira is the guinea pig. But yes....

I was reading the Dirtopia write up of JB and it says that it's recommended for short wheelbased vehicles. Can my JKUR make it? Still considering it because my plans for tomorrow have been canceled and this sounds awesome. Would like to wheel with you guys as often as I can.

If you have a Rubi on 35's, you can definitely make it. Have you done other hard trails before?

There's always the risk of breakage, but we're not going to leave you stranded. You're more than welcome to come.

Well, no, not yet, really. I did part of Cleghorn with Bill and company, a few weeks ago.

Sometimes 4 doors do better on certain obstacles and sometimes 2 doors do better. There's been plenty of 4 doors all over up there, plus yours is a rubi, bring it.
