Where have you been?

I have not wheeled for the past couple months but that will change come Winter time. However I have been busy.

I picked up a sailboat and have been spending my time and money getting her back into shape.

Haul out and Survey.

Step thru transom for old guys

Re-christened Pura Vida (Pure Life)

Maiden Voyage out of Alamitos Bay

New Headsail and now ready for Catalina Sunday

So are there any Wrangler Forum sailors out there? I'm always looking for an excuse to go for another sail

My dad did. I know some basics. We went out and would bury the rail on the weekends. My dad raced his ranger in Los All. He had a huge spinnaker, we would fly it and the main sail wing to wing on the downward tack's but putting the rail in the water and hanging off was the real fun.

The Catalina 36 Mkii is a different boat, it is a coastal cruiser, and if you try to bury the rail it slows down. In 15+ knots of wind she will do 8 knots pretty much all day. I'll have to take you out on it and so you can check it out.

Hey Gary, It's good to here from you again. Like I told you before I'm a power boat guy. PM me next time you go to Catalina, I'll run over and meet up with you.

So how does it sail? That rudder has to be 5 foot long. I bet she comes about really well.
