Pismo is fun but it looks like they have closed part of it due to Snowy Plover season. Just be careful and watch out for novice ATV riders out there, they will fly out of nowhere and land right in front of you, ATVs not the birds!

Also there is Pozo Saloon right across HWY 101 heading thru Arroro Grande past Lake Lopez. If you take High Mt Road thru the Forrestry Roads, it will lead you to Pozo Saloon.

Nothing at Lake Nacimiento, past Pozo there is Turkey Flats. I've never been there, I think it's mainly dirt/mud hills and not rocks.

Anything going on this weekend here locally?

We went to Hollister this past weekend for the Molina Ghost Run and it was a great time! If I were to guess I would say about 100 people or so. Runs from easy to advanced and a couple of play areas... Great food for the dinner on Saturday and some great prizes.... It was our first CAL4Wheel event.

We're headed to Nacimiento this weekend for some sun and fun on the water We're taking the motorhome & boat, while my Daughter and Son in Law take the Jeep and tow the camp trailer. I'm looking forward to just relaxing for a couple days.

Where do you stay at Nacimiento? Cabin rentals? If you have a good spot or good rental company, please let me know. I want to talk my family there this summer.

We have a 32ft. motorhome so we just stay in a campsite. The campsites you can reserve are at Sandypoint, or right at the entrance. I never liked the ones at the entrance since it's so far from the water. If you have a truck/trailer or tent set up it's okay since you can use your vehicle to get back and forth. With a MH it's not that easy.

The campsites by the water are all first come, first serve. They do have some condo and I think trailer rentals. Look online and probably call to speak to someone for the best info

Just air down to about 8-10 lbs and you should be fine. Be sure to read the rules, a flag is a requirement. Also I wouldn't advise going on any Holiday weekend, it's a zoo out there! Otherwise, you should have a good time. Wash, wash and then wash your Jeep when your done though. Don't want the sand and salt water to do any damage

Depends on what kind of terrain you want to wheel. Your going to have to drive a bit for the rocks, Calico or Cougar Butte. For sand there's always Pismo. For dirt roads, & hills thwarted Huasna area and some places out past Pozo at Turkey Flatts

What are you driving? I'll keep an eye out for you. I work in SLO.

Hey everyone,
I know we all are located in different Counties than this, but if you could take a minute and send a letter it would be great. We may want to go down here sometime and it would be a shame if it closed.

Kind of like the people trying to close Pismo, they just need to go away

Thanks,
Lisa

Flip a coin, eanie-meanie, pick a number...............I'm not sure, lol.

Actually, I will drive my car or JKU primarily. This one is more of an off road toy and I'm pretty sure Mike will want to drive it. He doesn't get to drive the JKU so he's pretty happy to have a Jeep he doesn't have to ask permission to drive

Lab lover, I'm in a sage green Sahara. I don't get Slo to often anymore but if your ever in north county I'm always in the downtown area of paso. We have ground squirrel entrances up near me as well for anyone that wants to hit up that area.
