I'll have to make it out there to play at Oro Grande soon ... then go eat a Brian Burger from Emma Jeans ... let me know when you plan on heading out again

It's definitely a mild to wild kind of place. You are only limited by your imagination. Thanks again Steve and Brodie, especially for helping me jack my rearend up so we could roll those rocks under her to get that picture. Mark.

Hey Mark...the rocks out there can get big....I can't believe how easily they moved when trying to crawl over them...

I'm heading out Thursday afternoon..
This area is between the river and Quartz mtn...aka "Point of Rocks"....which is what I think is a great name for the area...
Back in the 1800s this area was known as Point of Rocks...and was a crossroads for trails leading in all directions...

Yea and they all have a layer of cement on them from all the years of living between 2 cement plants. I straightened my Peterbilt emblem again, crawled underneath and all is good, nothing a can of paint won't cover. Looking forward to bigger tires one day. Had a great day and looking into property next to Vic. Mark.

I took my son and his friend out star gazing last night and ended up coming into the back side of the cement plant over there in Oro Grande. I saw a couple guys in a remote parking area with some flash lights, so I approached them. They turned out to be security. They were nice enough guys. I figured sure as heck they were going to go off about us trespassing, but they didn't. I asked (and they gave) directions out of there. We came out right next to that low bridge on the curve next to the entrance. Even tho they were cool about us being there, the place gave me a very uncomfortable feeling. LOL

Phil... that probably because you were on TXI's property...
We were way south of the plant....down by the Iron bridge...

Phil... there is a trail system out there that winds you through the rocks...Mark and I ran the trails to scope it out and then we just started running the virgin rock....we agreed that the area we were at yesterday is very similar to Cougar Butts just that nobody's been through it yet....well except for what we did yesterday... lol!

I've been thru some of that area (north of the rail road tracks) between N.T. Hwy and the antenna mountain, but I'm not quite sure where you are talking about. Where do you leave the road to get there?
